So easy to install! Works great.
I had left my hose connected to the hose-bib (sillcock) in a freeze and it broke the old back-flow preventer. So I removed the entire assembly from the house before I realized that you could just replace the little plastic back-flow preventer! Extra work , but I was happy to find this replacement part which took all of 2 minutes to install and it works fine. I even bought a 2 pack so when I do the same thing again in a few years I'll already have a replacement waiting! :-)

Absolutely fits a Nibco 90 - installed and confirmed
This part absolutely works as a replacement for Nibco 90 anti-siphon valve. I replaced an original Nibco 90 valve. You do NOT need the rubber washer/o-ring like the original had, and this does not come with one. In fact, if do you put a rubber o-ring on it, you may have a small pressure leak through the inside plunger washer seal. To avoid cross-threading, push this in firmly first and make sure it is seated properly before you start turning it (you may feel a slight "snap" when it's fully seated before you tighten it). Finger tighten first until it's all the way in--do NOT use a plier until the final 1/16th of a turn. If you can't start to thread it and tighten it all the way using only your fingers, STOP, back out, check and clean out the threads in the faucet to remove any bits of calcification or debris, and try again. Test the valve for good seal before you snap on the cap by opening the faucet. The inside plunger will pop up and create a tight seal. You might get a drop or two of water come out the top before the plunger washer seals the hole, but you should not see any water come out after it's been fully pressurized.

10 stars! Works!
So happy and this was such an easy fix, just pop the top off the anti-siphon valve get some pliers to unscrew the old piece and then pop this one on and bam you’ll be done in literally two minutes, this is also in case one of the plastic pieces in the first one lol good luck and thank you so much for the YouTube video that sent me to this

These fixed our hydrant after we left a hose connected in the winter
This was a simple fix, and makes me grateful I bought USA made hydrants with repair part availability. I’ll gladly continue buying Prier hydrants for the homes we build

Works if you install with a proper wrench very tight!
When these Vacuum Breakers leak water it is probably not that they are faulty, but that they are not sealed into the metal faucet tightly enough. With the metal cover off the plastic part, hand tighten it and then use a channel lock pliers to grab the plastic part and really tighten it down with care not to over do it. Pressure test it for leaking with a hose attached and the far end nozzle closed. Since plastic has a very different expansion coefficient compared to the metal faucet, they often leak in the spring after a very cold winter...
