It came matted and significantly dirty, but once I detangled (first, with coconut oil as i would my own hair), then washed and deep conditioned and towel/air dried, it was restored to normal. The ends were split which helped make it look more natural but caused more shedding. I chose not to trim them to preserve length. I styled it as a braid out (just used castor oil) and left out some of the front of my 4b hair in a braid out for a more seamless look. It was gorgeous, looked natural, and I received MANY compliments. If you know how to take care of natural hair, this wig requires the same maintenance, which means it’s VERY high maintenance, but the natural look is worth it in my opinion. When I’m not wearing it is braided and before wearing it I deep condition it and only wash as needed.
