Great for my wifeโs back
My wife has been suffering from back pain so she wanted a more ergonomic chair and this chair was recommended by her PT therapist. The chair is very easy to put together, the adjustment is easy and now that we have it set up it fits her perfectly. I read several of the reviews on Amazon and was a bit concerned, but glad we bought. It took several days to get the seat, back, height, head rest, and arm rests perfect for her. I recommend patience and use the adjustments to get the chair just right for yourself before posting a bad review. My wife loves the chair and her back is doing much better since we got it. She sits in the chair 9-10 hours per day.

All day comfort, while eliminating my neck and back pain.
This chair is even better than I expected. I was surprised by the high quality construction and the ease of assembly. In just a couple of days my neck and back pain are gone. I canโt slouch if I tried, and yet Iโm completely comfortable during my entire work day as a software developer.

Overall quality chair
Overall great chair. The head adjustment piece needs improvement in my opinion

So far, so good.
Easy to assemble. Much less expensive than where I first saw it in a furniture store. Lovely black leather. Very nice hardware. Easy instructions. Very comfortable, but I just got it.

This chair is terrible
I purchased this chair directly from x-chair. After using it a few weeks it is just awful. I find the shape of the seat combined with leather makes me slide out of the seat. The lumbar support is not adjustable and forcefully pushes you forward, which doesn't help. The base rollers are so slick it won't stay put on chair mat on hardwood floors. The materials are nice, generally well-built, the leather is supple soft and slick, the cushion is soft but the shape and design of this chair is terrible. All the "features" you pay extra for as add-ons when you order it from x-chair, are total cash grab gimmicks. The "airflow" and "heat" and "massage" are cheesy little devices built into the lumbar that dont do anything, a tiny fan, a tiny motor that shakes, a tiny warmer. Speaking of warmer... expect to overheat while using this chair, at least in its leather version, it runs hot while sitting in it for long periods of time, on your bottom and your back. I am replacing this chair with either HM Embody, or Haworth Fern. This chair is sold on hard marketing, and I fell for it.

I was so hopeful, but
I was so hopeful for this chair to be outstanding, but it really wasn't worth all the hype to me. I've been using the chair going on two weeks and I'm trying really hard to like it, but it's just not that comfortable for me. I'm sure it's just me, but the chair bottom cuts off the circulation in my thighs. The lumbar area doesn't really fit with my back. No matter how hard I adjust all the areas that can be adjusted, I find that I lean back too far which I don't like at all. I like to sit tall and straight and this chair doesn't do that...at least it doesn't for me. If it wasn't such an issue to pack up this chair and send it back, I would. I'm just not a fan, especially for the outlandish price I paid for this X4 Leather Executive Chair. Plus, I thought I purchased a black chair and instead I received a brown one.

Good job X chair marketing...you got me.
Not as impressed as I thought Iโd be. The arms drive me crazy constantly flopping around and moving around and such. Noisy too. The lock for the incline release is hard to release so it causes me to struggle with it. However, It is comfortable..but frustrating to use. Other chairs are comfortable too.. Dropping more than 1k on a office chair, one would expect no frustrations. Good job X chair marketing...you got me.

Very comfortable chair and adjusts well for a big person like myself
I tend to go through office chairs quite rapidly since I wear them out quickly due to my size (I weight over 220 lbs and am 6'3"). They typically last me less than a year. My last office chair was one I found that lasted me for several years because I finally got smart and purchased a chair that was rated at 350 pounds instead of the typical 250 pounds for an office chair. It's lasted me for over 5 years, but the leather is wearing out and is looking ratty and it was time for a new chair. Among many of the specs for the X Chair that impressed me was that it is rated at 340 pounds. This means that it should last a long time. I received the chair and had to assemble it, but it took only about 10 minutes and a total of 6 screws. Construction was heavy duty and the leather appears to be high quality. It is a nice looking chair. Once it was assembled I adjusted it to fit me. I love that it has adjustable seat depth. Since I am tall, it is very useful to get support along the entire length of my thighs. I next adjusted the seat height. I was able to adjust it high enough for my long legs. I then adjusted the backrest height. This is a somewhat unique feature that I love. This allows you to place the lumbar support in the exact position that you need. This lumbar support is probably one of the best features of the chair. As you lean back or change positions, it automatically adjusts to the perfect position and helps make this a very comfortable chair, even if you sit in it all day. Note that there is also tilt lock for those times you want to fix the chair in a certain position. This was a good time to adjust the tilt tension. This is a knob that adjusts the chair overall for your weight. I got it so that it would only lean back if I put a fair amount of pressure, since I don't like chairs that lean back too easily. The next adjustment was the arm rests. They can be adjusted for height, width, angle, and moved forward or backward. It was easy to get them to the position that was best for me. My final adjustment was for the headrest. It is adjustable for height and angle. This is an optional feature and I wasn't sure I'd like it, but it turns out I really do. Sometimes it's nice to lean back and rest and it's comfortable enough to take a nap in. I set it so the small of my neck fits into it perfectly. I noticed that there is an optional foot rest. I did not get that feature, so I can't comment on it. There is only one issue I have with the chair. The backrest height is adjusted by first lifting the mechanism to the top, which allows it to be dropped to the bottom. You then lift it to one of 4 positions and it is supposed to stay in that position. I keep my at the 4th, or highest position. The problem I run into is that sometimes when I get in or out of the chair, it inadvertently lifts to the top and then drops to the bottom. I find myself having to readjust the height quite often. Fortunately, it's very easy to do. Overall this is a great chair. The price may give some people sticker shock, but for an intensive use office chair, this is a competitive price, especially if it lasts a long time. I've spent part of my career as a facilities manager and frequently spent much more than that on good office chairs.
