But this! He’s just under 2, and after the initial over the head shock, he decided that he loves it. Granted it gives him something to chew on as the part that lays right over the mouth. However, he wears it, it keeps him warm and covered from the harsh winds, without being tight.We liked it so much, the rest of the adults in the family ordered them (appropriate sizes of course so a different listing). All in all a great product for the money.You can quickly tighten the balaclava up with the draw strings, but we have yet to do so for my son. This is great for the playground, especially at daycare. I did not expect the super thick, warm fleece, comfortable style and sizing, and great design! There’s separate tightening straps for the outer hood and and chin part and my daughter says it’s very warm. It held up to the Arctic wind on the prow of a moving whale-watching boat off the coast of Canada in September when all the adults were absolutely frozen and hiding in every layer we had with numb ears, but my daughter’s face was protected and she didn’t have to hold her hat on her head like every other person there.
