I loved the color. It doesn’t fade terribly but it will be hard to take out once you’re over it. I needed to refresh every couple of weeks and got tired of the maintenance.

Not difficult to use if you follow instructions and use care. Think I prefer the Colorista brand a little better -- has a slightly smoother consistency than the Wella, but Wella is also a good product, and I'd purchase again if I needed this color again.

I have patchy grey hair, quite white in some places and darker grey in others. Not pretty. Typically I bleach to level 9-10 and then tone it for a more uniform look. I've tried a bunch of toners via my colorist and at home on my own. All have left my hair too blue, too purple, still yellowish, not silver/white enough. Chrome Paints actually works on my hair. I leave Chrome on for 35-45 minutes under a shower cap. It comes out a true silver chrome. No yellow, no blue. Makes your hair soft and shiny. Downsides: It does not last. It washes out in roughly 4 shampoos for me. But throughout the 'fade', the color is nice and even. Just does not stay true chrome. It really helps with root growth pre next bleach. Also for people with shoulder length hair or longer or thick hair, one tube is not enough. Still the price is right in my opinion. Good find!

The dye itself worked well but my package was opened and the boxes the dyes were in were also open. Someone had opened and looked at my package after it was shipped. Since they dye was still in the boxes I just used them and my hair turned out well.

I like using Wella Color Charm Paints on a previously balayaged hair to add a shade of aubergine to my hair (ignore the frizz {& my face}, I had my first perm). I usually get these from my local Sally but Amazon was more convenient. I typically alternate between purple (blue undertone) & violet (red undertone) & found that the shade on the boxes can be misleading.The first picture is freshest after application, about a couple of washes after. The shade on the left is purple and on the right is mauve. I typically prefer purple due to its fade— I can get the light lavender shade towards the end. The second photo is a month after, notice how purple shifted to a royal purple, whereas mauve has faded to a very light pink hue.

Easy to use. Pretty color but faded really fast even on my prelightened hair. I only did a few highlights and needed the whole tube, so couldn't use it for refreshing later. The positive is it did fade to a soft pretty color.

Sorry not the greatest pictures to show off this color BUT I will say this is my GO-TO for the bright red that I love. I know it’s blood orange but to me it’s more of a red. I didn’t quite get the blue I wanted this time around I had tried something new 😞 so please ignore lol.The Wella Paints are absolutely amazing, accessible, inexpensive and quality products I don’t find these fade as quickly as some of the other semi permanents that I have used do which is nice. I do wish there was some more variety in the colors, however I am realizing that it’s just as easy to mix these to achieve different desired shades. Which is yet another reason I love them!Definitely recommend!

Product was OK I just chose the wrong color and I should have bought 2 . It didn't go very far and my hair isn't very thick at all.

I absolutely adore this dye. Its lasted extremely long and is still purple to this day (it's been about a month and I wash my hair every 4 days) my only issue is how small the tubes are. I have just above the shoulder length hair and the tube only did the very bottom layer of my hair!

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this product worked. It's not like other semi permanent colours that are conditioner based, so at first I was worried the small tube wouldn't be enough for my thick and ample head of hair. It smells very nice! This was put over hair that had previously been bleached and coloured at the salon with a competitor brand of Vivid and I was very pleased that it restored my hair to the bright purple I had been enjoying, for a fraction of the cost. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was that the product started to dry on my hair before my whole head was done and it felt very stiff, made it difficult to comb through.

I will not use this dye again, I know it’s semi permanent but it didn’t last past one wash. Disappointed.

I have very short hair - nearly a pixie cut. This tube was hardly enough for a full head of hair.Pretty colour though! Just make sure your hair is light enough to use it. Mine was pretty much white.

I have chin length hair and was able to get 4 uses out of this little tube and the colour was perfect to neutralize yellow tones... only problem was I noticed yellow coming through after 3-4 washes... would continue to use in a pinch but not long lasting enough to justify repurchasing
