These shepherd hooks didn't move an inch! We hammered one of the hooks down into 5/8 minus right outside our shed, which holds a lantern and one in our garden in soil that holds a bird feeder. Solid shepherd hooks, unlike ones that you'll find at Hobby Lobby that are cheaply made and hollow.
