From everything of which I've read your cellphone, watch and other wearables about the body can become contaminated with bacteria and viruses that can, and do infect persons touching them. This PhoneSoap wireless UV Phone Sanitizer & Universal Phone Charger sanitizer can become a valuable tool to keep users healthy and charge a cellphone at the same time. The device comes well packaged to prevent damage. The setup is seamless and easy. There are three stages that unit goes through to clean an item. First, plug in the unit and open the cover placing the item to be cleaned/charged inside. See photo #1. Second, close the cover and observe the Lightning symbol light of top of the cover lights up. See photo #2. Third, the unit has an internal timer that will shut off when finished. See photo #3 and notice that the same lightning symbol light will then be turned off. Open the cover, take out your item and reclose the cover. That's it. Pretty easy. Now, since I do not have an ability to check the reduction of the bacteria and viruses, I do know that exposure to UV light, inside the unit that turns on when the cover is closed, is an effective, scientifically proven method to destroy bacteria and viruses.

Doesn't shut off instantly

I absolutely love this thing. I have no idea if it works because it isn’t like I can see a difference in the things I put in there but it makes me feel better lol. Honestly you could swap it before and after and tell me it wasn’t working and I honestly wouldn’t care. I put my phone in there daily and my earrings. I have put phones, chargers, jewelry, keys, tooth brush, tongue scraper, zit popping tool and etc. I wish it was deeper so I could put my glasses in it or other items but it’s not a big deal. I have not had any issues with it. I like that it has a light to tell you it’s done “cooking” and that it is completely silent. The charging aspect is amazing. There are mornings I over sleep and forgot to charge my phone and I stick my phone in there while getting ready and it’s charged enough for me to head out. I bought one for a friend and if they weren’t so expensive I would buy one for everyone I know. Get it!!!

Like many of the other reviewers mention, the charger is not worth spending the extra $20 on. It SLOWLY charges my Samsung S23, but so slowly it's just not worth using it for that purpose. Overnight charging still does not charge it fully. However, the device is good for disinfecting the phone. Of course, I don't know this for a fact, but the research supports their UV claim. I would buy this again, but save $20 and go with the style without the charging capability.

After reading an article about how dirty one's phone can be, I decided to buy this product so I will no longer have such a bacteria infested device. The device is super easy to use. Just plug it in and place your phone inside. Close the lid and a small light will appear on top. In about ten minutes the light will go off and your phone will be clean. You do not need to remove your phone from its protective case. I have an Otter box case and it fits perfectly in the PhoneSoap. I am only giving it 4 stars on durability since I have only had it a few days and i do not know how it will hold up. Couldn't get the wireless charging to work for me. I like that the UV lights truly seem to encase the phone all the way around, but wasn't worth the price for it to just do that. Also, although my phone does fit, the inside wasn't big enough to place other objects in to sanitize (earbuds, sunglasses, etc.) like you can in the Samsung sanitizer/wireless charger. I would also suggest using a USB port for the power supply so it's not taking up an outlet with a proprietary cable, but instead using a USB charging block that's probably already there and can be used with other devices.

A+ products and even better customer service! That alone should tell you how good their product is. Companies with crappy products don't go above and beyond with their consumer support, because they would struggle so hard to keep up. On the other hand, the good companies that also have great quality products do not have to put near as much effort or staff into keeping all of their customers happy. I had a wireless Qi Phonesoap that stopped working and I got 1 dedicated rep that basically bent over backwards until I was 100% satisfied and then some. I didn't want the same model, because I figured the newer ones would be more sturdy. So, they gave a choice and I picked the newer Phonesoap GO model and its so cool! Just a super cool experience through and though. The only thing I wish they had that they currently do not, is a Phonesoap GO model that also has internal wireless Qi phone charging. That would make my experience with this company 110%, but for now they'll just have to settle for 100% 🙂

Wireless charging doesn’t work unless you remove your phone case which negates the whole purpose of wanting to have your case sanitized. Seems like a good idea in theory, poor execution from a design perspective.
