It did not go well. Just a blank screen would appear, but windows did recognize the monitor was attached. I tried another cable still nothing. I will add that I have a KVM in between the computer and TV. I wound up giving up and figured I wasted 13 bucks, but then I remembered I have a tv that's hdmi is broken, and I wanted to attach a Roku to it. I was able to get that working successfully, runs great. The adapter seems rather cheaply made, and the screws are in a bad position. At one point the adapter split open at the seam, and I needed to put it back together. So, Careful it will break easily, which is why I am knocking stars off. The PC had no VGA output so I used this devices to convert my HDMI cable to VGA and audio connections at my TV. Very pleased with the picture and audio quality. I don't think it could get better.The Bad: As others have mentioned, the plastic used to house the electronics feels thin and brittle.
