They don't have a super high waist, they come up right at the top of my belly button. The seam at the calf looks a little snug but it doesn't feel that way. They have good stretch but are not as stretchy as my other yoga pants. They have a nice little pocket in the waist band. I really love the mesh on the pants. They almost have a slimming effect. For reference I am 5' 7", 157lbs, 28in waist, 41inch hips and i ordered a large. They fit perfect. One size up or down would have too big or too small.Another thing to note (something i didn't notice when ordering): they have pictures of ram (horned animal) heads on them as well as flowers. Didn't notice the horned beast at first but oh well!
