Kyoto Autumn Leaves Incense, 450 Sticks - Kyo-nishiki

Shoyeido Plum Blossoms had become my daily scent after Blue Pearl cheapened all its formulations about ten years ago. I feared that I would not like Autumn Leaves because of the reviews here, but it now joins Plum Blossoms for daily use in my home. It has a similar profile to Shoyeido Moss Garden (or perhaps I'm just thinking of their similar green color and earthy names), but Autumn Leaves seems more complex in its subtle spice notes, primarily a sweet cinnamon. I have tried many other Shoyeido incenses, both cheaper and more expensive, but I keep coming back to these two.

These incense sticks are wonderful. They remind you of walking thru a lakeside town on a warm fall evening and catching the scent of bonfire and burning leaves and marshmallows all mixed together. The scent is just beautiful. The smoke level is minimal and does not cause you to feel nauseated and isn't headache inducing. The incense sticks themselves are very thin and dainty, so you must be careful when handling so not to break them. They come neatly packaged in a beautifully decorated box like shown in the listing. I am very pleased with my purchase and will be buying these again once they run out! 🍂 🔥 🍂 ❤️

Like other reviewers, I too nursed one 35-stick box of this incense for quite a few years before discovering that more could be purchased online. The sticks in the new box are green in color, whereas the old (long) sticks were brown.The scent is ever-so-slightly different, possibly in the same way that different yarn/fabric dye baths are different from one another . . . But the difference is subtle, nothing I can quite put my finger on. For many years, I just thought of this scent as powdery in the best possible way. Lighting a stick had an immediate impact on my mood, and I tended to experience a sense of elevation related to the powdery quality. It wasn't until a few years later that I recognized cinnamon at the front of this incense, possibly because cinnamon was simply not something I expected to be smelling! But once recognized, the cinnamon is indeed a huge part of the scent profile. This incense is sweet and definitely similar to Plum Blossom (also by Shoyeido). They are both a cut above all the other scents I've tried, although I've never found anything made by this company in any way unpleasant. But Autumn Leaves & Plum Blossom are extra special. Plum Blossom is a little sweeter and a little stronger, and does not seem to contain cinnamon. Autumn Leaves (this box, anyway) is softer and more understated than Plum Blossom, and a bit more powdery. More sandalwood perhaps, and less benzoin. But, as stated above, they are very close in overall effect. If you like one, chances are you'll also enjoy the other.

The fragrance is very pleasant. I offer incense twice a day everyday to the mandala/The True Object of Worship/Desire- the offering is usually three sticks of incense but three of this particular kind is VERY smoky so using only one is better and still an odd number of offering. I will probably purchase this incense again.

Nice smell, good value

This incense is the BEST! All of their scents are worth trying, and none have failed to please me yet. I'm odor sensitive, so this is a big deal for me. I love that the scents are not 'chemical' like most incense you find these days, and- huge plus- they don't have those core sticks, so the whole unit gets consumed, you don't have all those little wooden ends to toss out. Now one drawback, and once you know, it's easily avoided, they are much more delicate than regular incense sticks (again no wooden core) so handle them carefully and you're fine. They also don't seem to contain any artificial colors or scents from what I gathered from the manufacturer site. They burn at a reasonably slow rate, leave behind a lot less ash than the wood core sticks, and the scent is subtle and rich, and lingers delightfully. This is my favorite incense brand for life.

C'est mon premier achat d'encens japonais via Amazon, et j'adore ce produit. Je connaissais d'autres marques mais celle-ci se place. Il est impossible de comparer encens japonais et indien, ce sont à proprement parler deux choses différentes, ce qui fera que vous apprécierez cet encens ou non. Moi personnellement, Je suis conquise, une boîte sympa que Je compte réutiliser plus tard, et pour le prix, environ 450 bâtonnets. À première vue ils paraissent petits et très fins, mais sont très odorants et persistent longtemps après être brûlés. Je compte essayer les autres variétés de la marque. Pour ce qui est de l'envoi, cela à pris un peu de temps, mais Je ne regrette pas.

Die Stäbchen sind zart und dünn und kurz. Sie duften einfach wunderbar, allerdings nicht ganz so nachhaltig wie die längere und dickere Variante, sondern eher zurückhaltender, was auch angenehm sein kann. Sie sind tatsächlich günstiger als von der Originalwebseite, also ein Schäppchen. Empfehlenswert. Lieferung schnell und problemlos. Danke :)

I use Kyonishiki incense in my workspace everyday. It's expensive for a 35-stick pack, but *that version* is wonderful for setting a creative work mood, so I was delighted to the find the larger, much more economical pack. But it's very disappointing: the sticks are about half the size, so savings aren't great, but far worse - the quality of the incense is simply *poor*. Each stick burns half-way with the right perfume, but then it simply begins to smell a bit burned.
