Spicy Hot Smoked Paprika (Pimenton) from Spain 750g

This paprika from Spain adds lots of flavor to food and it's a favorite of my family. Just a little bit would add a little kick to the food without being overpowering. I recommend this product.

Although the weight is in the product listing, somehow I did not realize just how large this box is! Fortunately we really DO like hot smoked paprika and will probably use it up within a year. Just be aware that there is a lot of product here! The paprika is delicious - very rich and smoky and quite hot. Not cayenne pepper hot, but hot enough that if you put a tablespoon into a pot of soup you really notice it. Good stuff.

Great flavor! Using it for traditional Spanish chorizo, which is best with quality ingredients. This paprika has imparted a wonderful flavor for all the Spanish food I've been making. For someone who likes super spicy, it's not like other hot peppers but is as it should be, a gentle warmth. Would buy again, for sure!

I am just studying making paella with authentic Spanish ingredients.Paprika in the US is not anything like Spanish Hot Paprika. It has a tremendous sensual flavor which is good in many foods. I made a salad tonight with this added to the home made dressing.A whole new flavor profile was opened to me.

Adds a pleasantly smokey warmth to many foods. Note that a little bit goes a long way - very easy to overpower a dish if you’re not judicious with the amount! Large tin will last me a long time, that is if it retains its freshness... the tin container doesn’t seal very well, so we’ll see.

First thing, it's not smoky, it's metallic. It's strong as well. It over powers and dish with an almost copper-like artificial flavor with even a small amount. It's off putting and disgusting. I tried convincing myself that this is what "real paprika" or Spanish paprika should taste like and that it tastes good or adds something pleasant to a dish but I'm over the delusion. I've been asked specifically not to cook with this spice in meals by my partner due to the off flavor. Aside from the flavor, it has a chemical odor to it, also overpowering. Not worth the price and wouldn't be worth anything if it was free either because it ruins the food.
