Having had time to compare the left and right mittens, I see that the split is on purpose and part of the design. Having used it on my yellow lab and the blue heeler, I am here to tell you that it removes the extra hair, good for the wife, less work. The dogs like it and insist on more stroking. I recommended the gloves, highly, they are confortable and easy on the owner and the dog. Sorry about the hiccup, my bad, should have taken more time examining them.
