Aerogarden junkie here- you'll be a green thumb in no time!
I'm not new to Aerogardens...ever since my hubby bought me one years ago for my birthday I've been completely hooked. I have a bit of a collection but this was my first of the new model Harvest and I love it. I got it specifically for the new Microgreens kit because I didn't want to tie up a Bounty and the kit wasn't compatible with my other gardens (old models and a Harvest Elite Slim). For context, gardening is not my thing. I'm terrible at it- the only plants I've managed to keep alive are snake plants and even those have come close to dying. My Aerogardens though are a whole different story- it actually makes gardening FUN for me with much less mess than digging in dirt, dealing with pests, animals, etc. If you're just getting started with Aerogardens, this is the perfect size (6 slots) and the stainless finish looks like a fancy kitchen appliance. I love the lighted digital menu making it much easier to read and set than previous models. Keep in mind that this one is not wifi compatible (at least that I can find). You can plant lettuce, herbs, flowers, and now even microgreens. I don't recommend tomatoes or peppers in this garden though- they will quickly overtake it. If that's your thing then definitely look into a Bounty that can accommodate the height and the spread. If you're on the fence about trying Aerogardens or even gifting one, this one is a great choice that will keep going and going. These are especially great for folks who live in areas that they can't have a garden or they may want fresh herbs/veggies that won't grow certain times of year. I have had nearly zero problems with any of my Aerogardens going on several years now. A few tips that seem to work for me: - I'm bad about reading directions but definitely read them if you're not familiar. They will save you a lot of missteps and frustration. - Between starting new gardens, I do a deep clean of everything. Just a handwashing with dish soap and rinsed very, very well. - Keep them watered (but don't overwater). These are hydroponic plants- if they run out of water they seem to die almost instantly and it will be next to impossible to revive (in my experience) - Feed the gardens on the recommended schedule - Keep your plants pruned and under control, this will help them stay healthier, fuller, and contained where they should be in the garden and not causing problems with other plants. - Definitely look into spacers (they're available on Amazon). They're recommended for tomatoes and peppers but I've found them really helpful for large herbs like basil so it has more room to grow. - Replace the filters in the water basins periodically. They last a long time but after a while they degrade, rip, etc. I'm a major Aerogarden devotee and don't think I could (or can) garden any other way. I've grown countless gardens at this point including peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, microgreens, cucumbers, basil, chives, sage, cilantro, oregano, you name it. There is nothing better than your own fresh greens!

Hydroponic Virgin no more
I am biased where this product is concerned. Seed germination in the depths of Winter, transferred into pots indoors to develop, then hardened off to replenish Toni's Herb Garden! Works to get a jump on veggies too! My erstwhile work colleague (Jim) bought into it and created a hydroponic system with a chest of drawers as base structure, plastic plumbing, a suitably scaled pump to circulate the water plus liquid fertilizer, and let it roll! Too big of a scale for my needs, but proof of principle for sure!

Taste of organic Garden
This is the perfect counter top herbal garden. It was easy to grow and reorder new plants when finished with others. Size was great and delicious for all the herbs added to our food. I would recommend this herbal garden and I reordered this as a gift for a friend.

Suits my purpose, may not suit yours
I had an off-brand six pod hydroponic grow system that would not turn back on after a power outage. It had six Alpine strawberry plants that are maybe a month to 6 weeks old growing in it. I had that unit for probably two years before I actually used it, so there is no way it was under warranty. My shopping criteria for a replacement product came down to number of holes (at least 6), size (will it fit where the other one was?), price, and how fast it could be delivered. The plants had water (but no pump to circulate it) but only the light from a basement window several feet away. AeroGarden had been out of my price range before, but this unit was reduced to $56. Reading other comments, it might be clearance pricing. The grow pods had a sell by date of October 2024. I bought this in July 2025. Don't buy this for the pods unless/until the AeroGarden business stabilizes. I am knocking on star off for this, because it's an advertised feature of the kit. I pushed the plugs out of the baskets, threw away the plugs, and set the baskets and domes aside for later. I have some extra plugs from my other system and used my own seeds originally, so I can always do it myself again in the future. As an aside on the seeds they chose for the gourmet herb collection, they are not good choices to grow in this size unit unless you prune religiously. I have basil and dill in containers on my deck and they are both at least 3 feet tall (they bolted, and I let them, because they are pretty in bloom). The height of this grow light means you need SHORT plants for this, or you need to be cutting a lot. Oregano and thyme should be fine. My parsley outside has grown really slowly, so I have no idea how tall it should get. When the package arrived, shipped in the product box with no outer box, the lid wasn't secured shut. If there is a user manual that comes to tell you how to set up the clock and plant cycle, it must have fallen out. It isn't hard to set it up, though. The buttons are touch rather than press, so I had to adjust a bit to how it behaved. I got it set correctly on my second try, so it's doable. There is a stater guide for using the seed pods in the seed pod box. I am glad this came with a bottle of plant food. I was using AeroGarden food in my previous unit. I tossed a few seeds into a container outside the same time I started them in the hydroponics system, and my outdoor plants are growing super slowly, even with fertilization. The hydroponic plants using the AeroGarden plant food are much larger. It could be environmental as well as fertilizer, as Alpine strawberries may not appreciate the 90+ degree weather we've had while they are trying to establish themselves (I didn't plant with care and knew I planted way too late for outdoor germination), but either way, the plant food that comes with this kit works, so I am happy to have a second bottle of it! When I set this up, I filled the water, added plant food, and put the plants/plugs/basket/sticker assembly from my old unit right into this new one. The baskets fit imperfectly but well enough that there won't be any light getting into the water. The picture I attached is right after I moved my plants. The light is not at its lowest position, but should be if you are just starting from seed. Compared to my other unit, this has a better design. The light extending to the edges of the base means plants aren't all growing towards the center. My previous model was round with a smaller lamp. I think the plants will each have more space with the AeroGarden design, even though I doubt there will be enough space for all 6 of my plants by the time they start to flower. I think the 4 corner spots will be fine based on Alpine strawberry growth habits. Note that most strawberries are not well suited for this kind of system for two reasons. Alpine strawberries have a decent seed germination rate, but other strawberry plants propagate best by sending out runners and can be hard to grow from seed. Alpine strawberries also do fine at indoor temperatures. Other strawberries need warmer temperatures to produce good fruit. They are different species, not just different varietals. Make sure you shop carefully! Get this if you just want the system. Maybe shop more if the seed pods are important. Herb seeds are cheap and replacement pods are not hard to find, but that will increase total cost. It might be worth it if this is still discounted well.

The right tool for the right job.
Aerogarden is doing everything for you to succeed. I also used the cheap version of those mini hydroponic garden and the difference is in the design. First the water is brought to the seed, so no need to prepare the seed in water before you put them in the Aerogarden, Second you can remove the water tank separately so it is really easy to clean it and simply to place the garden on your balcony or deck outside when the weather is great and the bees are flying... Third the warranty that every pod bought with them or it will be replaced for free. A great product with a great design and great customer support. Fourth, the quality of the material, it is sturdy and solid, no cheap imitation.

Love this and love AeroGardens! This is the second one I purchased (a few days after purchasing my Bounty Basic Black, which I also really like). AeroGardening is addictive! I like this unit because it is attractive looking, it has a ridiculously small footprint (anyone can find somewhere to put this little unit pretty much ANYWHERE in their living space) and perfect to dedicate as a lettuce garden. Set-up is a breeze (it almost felt like I was cheating because it was TOO easy and quick) and I find the lights to be quite bright. (In fact, for some reason, it seems to be brighter than the lights on my Bounty Basic, but I’m not sure if that’s right. The lights can definitely adjust lower to the plants on this unit than they do on my Bounty Basic, which I think is beneficial for the plants). The plants grow surprisingly quickly in this unit and I definitely recommend it, particularly if you live in a condo or apartment, like me. I love that there is no dirt to worry about and no bugs (yet). The light is really bright, but I don’t mind it - I just put it in a room I don’t sleep in...And the results are so fantastic and rewarding, especially considering that there is pretty much no work involved other than filling it with water and nutrients when it tells you to...and harvesting the plants when you want to eat them! Even though the stainless steel version of this unit was on sale, I still opted to spend a little more for this sage green unit...and I have absolutely no regrets! I love it! (Side note: I did end up ordering a third AeroGarden - Harvest Elite - in stainless steel a week later....Didn’t I say AeroGardening is addictive? But based on looks alone, I think this sage green color is much warmer and and much more attractive.) Since starting this AeroGardening hobby, I’ve told all my friends about it and a few have hopped on the bandwagon and are enjoying their AeroGardens, as well! This makes me very happy. :) Right now, I’m itching to grow more and have been fantasizing about adding a Farm Plus unit to my collection...But unfortunately, the cost of that is a little out of my price range right now, so that might remain a daydream for now...

I like the machine and its easy to use, however out of the 6 pods in the starter kit - 4 haven't come up and we are now at day 22!

I have an inbloom which works wonderfully. This is my first Aerogarden and I'm not sure if the price is justified. I do like that the grow lights generate a lot of heat and the water tank is detachable. However, only the Genovese and Thai basils sprouted after a month. The dill and curly parsley struggled for some days before giving up. The mint and thyme pods came empty so 🤷♀️. Contacted the seller for a replacement (as per Aerogarden germination guarantee) and was told they would check but I have not heard from them since. I also can't seem to message the seller anymore.

Las plantas crecen mucho más rápido Se me ocurrió separar las semillas germinales extra y a los 20 días la diferencia es más que notable. Muy feliz y contento con la compra. Lastima que no todos los insumos están disponibles para importar a mi país.
