So far, it appears this camera will work well for my intended use(s). My main concern was latency in the image. I was pleased to find that while the latency is present, it is low. (I have not yet tried to measure it.) Using the screen to guide my movements, I was able to probe spots on a PCB with little overshoot. Moving slowly and deliberately helps. With a bit of practice, this setup will serve well for the repairs I do. I've exercised some of the camera features, but not exhaustively: I've not saved any still photos or video to SD card yet; all "live" work so far. I may post updates regarding additional features. See my review for the lens/base assembly for FOV and working distance for min/max zoom for this setup.Initially, I was concerned the maximum field of view might not be wide enough and thought I might need a lower magnification. However, I now feel I can obtain any wide shots needed by simply using my smart phone. This setup excels at getting clear, high magnification images of large and small PCB components, or mechanical assemblies.5/19/20 UPDATE: Note - This camera has a CS mount. To properly mate it with a C mount lens you need a CS-to-C adapter (a 5mm thick adapter with internal and external 1"x 32 TPI threads).I was able to measure 75-85 ms as the latency of the image in my setup. My measurement includes the latency of my older 26" VIZIO HDTV display (yours could be slightly different). I put an LED in the field of view of the microscope with a black background. I sent the drive signal of the LED to Ch1 of a dual trace oscilloscope. Ch2 was connected to a photodiode that picked up the bright image of the LED off the HDTV screen. I turned the LED on and off and noted the time displacement of the rising edges for the two traces on the oscilloscope screen. This gave me a reasonable estimate for overall (camera + display) latency. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works great, BUT... *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 14, 2019* This is a great 16MP camera, BUT it only works with Windoze computers or by direct HDMI to a monitor.The HDMI connection to a monitor is the way to go, and even though the manual says that it cannot capture video via HDMI, it actually does, so that gave it a +1 star, by accident. Of course, it gets -2 stars for only working with Windoze.That nets my 4 star review. If it worked with Android and Linux, it would get 5 stars.I corrected my rating to 4 stars, and add that the build quality is solid aluminum, no plastic, and it accepts the standard camera mounts for most microscopes. You do need a .5x reducer lens adapter though, and it could be used on telescopes too, with the right camera adapter.Even though the software only works on Windows, it is very good, with many image control options and even measurement function.Overall, it is probably the best camera with the highest resolution for the price out there now. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great on HDMI monitor *by T***S on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 6, 2022* The cables exit at the front of the module when used with my microscope so they are close to the eyepieces.
