SAFAVIEH Wyndham Collection 9' x 12' Natural/Multi WYD720A Handmade Modern Premium Wool Area Rug

This is a great rug for anyone who’s moving away from the soon to be passé gray look into the new warmer color schemes (but still wants to keep some of the gray in their design). Very neutral and great quality. Yes it sheds - all real wool rugs do unless they’re flat weave- but nothing out of the ordinary. Darker in person than in the photos.

We bought the 6x9 size for $133.00 and it is beautiful. Good deal! Compare the same manufacturer and others with similar, only slightly different patterns in the same color palette for $100+ more. My house is decorated in a Pacific NW Farmhouse style and the pattern works. 1/2” thickness, 100% wool, cloth backing. It seems well made and I think it will be durable. The colors are as advertised, all neutrals, no garish colors. It looks great on a dark floor. It does shed, as has every wool rug I ever owned did. If that bugs you, don’t buy a wool rug. It will diminish in time. Vacuum it very slowly with the beater bar off and that gets a lot of the loose stuff. Be sure to buy a rug pad, it makes a difference!

Great pattern. Soft thick wool. Nice soft colors. But the smell hasn't dissipated after a week. Never had this problem with other Safavieh wool rugs.

Great quality wool rug as expected from Safaveih. I use it in my basement in front of an infrared sauna, giving an alpine feeling. The rug feels nice on bare feet and has a great pattern.

Ok, as far as looks, this rug is GORGEOUS!! The pattern is amazing as is the detail. That being said, if you kneel or sit on on it expect to look like you wrestled with a white shedding dog. I vacuumed this for 30 minutes before ever walking on it, was still having to vacuum it 2 to 3 times a day. We have a dark brown carpet and this tracked so badly I had to return it. Additionally while the quality was for the most part amazing, the one of the corners became out of square and oblong. If we had light floors ther may have been less noticeable. For us, it was in the busiest part of of our house and I couldn't handle the shedding. If it was is an less used area I would highly recommend, for looks.I have a hand made Tibetan wool rug in another room, and it sheds a little, even after several years. Natural wool rugs always will to some degree. However, the weave just isnt tight enough to prevent from an incredible amount of loose fibers.

we bought the 10 x 14 rug for our great room and loved it so much we bought a runner for the kitchen. we were concerned about the comments regarding shedding and maybe the look of it would be too gaudy, but we don't find that it sheds to the degree people mentioned and find the design, clever (almost southwest meets icelandic sweater).it does release a lot of material when vacuuming (especially with the dyson vacuums), but i suppose that is expected with wool. great value and the color and design is perfect for our home.

Will last a lifetime!

The design is beautiful! The thickness is amazing and will last for years. As for the shedding others mentioned in their reviews, I suggest not using the beater bar when vacuuming the rug. Very little shedding. This is also a manufacturers suggestion for caring for wool rugs. I may purchase one size larger at a later point in time. Love this rug. It arrived very quickly.
