However I gave in when I realized how awful my $25 backpack with no back support or strap padding was when I was lugging around my things on campus. I wanted something sturdier and with an amazon giftcard to subsidize part of the cost, I went for it.I love this backpack so much, it literally is the most comfortable thing to carry and looks amazing.One caveat: Amazon definitely has the sizing wrong. If you compare the height of the Herschel Retreat backpack on other websites you see a difference from 16" to 18". I've even seen some websites list 21". It is definitely bigger than 16". The flap on top adds an extra 1"-2" so I guess that is where the deviation lies. Do not buy this backpack if you are looking for a small day pack to go shopping with, it is meant to be big enough to lug around your waterbottle, laptop, books, and a change of clothes. ### ⭐ BEWARE OF KNOCK-OFFS! *by E***Y on August 14, 2018* I ordered a Gray Retreat back in June of 2018 and received a real Herschel and have LOVED the bag. In August of 2018, I ordered the same bag in Windsor Wine Red and received a knock-off mid-volume Little America, instead of the Retreat. The bag is a fake Herschel. The difference in quality is night and day. The fake bag has horizontal stripes on one interior section, a black rubber headphone hole (instead of a rubber piece that is the same color as the bag), no headphone hole on the interior of the bag, and the circular magnetic snaps are thicker and do not say "Herschel Supply" on them, like my original does. To test if this was a fluke, I ordered a total of THREE additional Herschel bags from Amazon, and ALL were fakes. I'm so disappointed. I use Amazon for everything and it makes me concerned that if fake Herschel bags have infiltrated the site, what other items are knock-offs? And to be clear, I ONLY ordered from Amazon, not a third-party seller on Amazon. Such a shame! ### ⭐ The bag that I received did not look like the one in the pictures *by E***S on January 31, 2017* The bag that I received did not look like the one in the pictures!!!! Totally different emblem of Herschel on the front and the straps are plastic buckles not what it shows on the pictures. I'm so disappointed because I totally expected something else. Yeah it's the same color but the style doesn't look authentic I don't get it! Does it look like it? I dont think so look at my split screen pix of it. I'm so pissed! Watch out from purschasing this!
