Alaskans Beware Shipping Issues
Not as sturdy feeling as you'd expect but works amazing. I'm on my second incubation and it's been working great. Wasn't impressed that they wouldn't ship this item to Alaska but the would the incubator. Made no sense. Thankfully, family was willing to receive and ship to me instead but that was ANNOYING! Minis the extra shipping times via the shipping fiasco it has been good thus far. Just wish this florida based company would get with the times when it comes to shipping to the 49th State.

Worth the investment to me
I've waited awhile before I wrote a review because from what I've read from the other buyers i wanted to try out the item first. Since I've got the product it hasn't fault on me yet. I work 2 jobs and I know I won't be home enough to manually turn the incubator so I took a chance after reading the reviews and got one. Worked well, my hens are constantly laying eggs, seems like this incubator never gets rest and so going strong. 24/7 the incubator has been on and the automatic turning still going strong. In my book so far its worth the investment.

Brinsea auto cradle
This is a great auto cradle for your Brinsea octagon incubator. My Wife is into farming big time & we have already hatched our first batch & this thing is soo easy to use. If you enjoy hatching any poultry this system is great! Very well made & super reliable. Much better built than the old kind. You can actually wash it clean & not worry about pushing on it & breaking it.

Worked well for a brief time
I purchased my first turner two years ago and have used it 4 times for a total of 72 hours of operation before it quit functioning right after starting my fifth setting. Prior to that I was pleased with it despite it being terribly over priced for how it is made. I rush ordered a replacement so I didn't lose the $100.00 of rare breed eggs I had in the incubator. I am going to see if I can get any assistance from Brinsea on the malfunctioning unit but based upon reviews I am not very hopeful. I will not start another brood without a spare on hand as I no longer trust in the reliability of the turner. I will update thus review if I have success with Brinsea.

Poor Design, Flimsy Construction
Poorly designed and flimsy construction. Drive link breaks after short time. I had to buy a replacement drive end and it lasted less than a year. In reality, only three weeks of actual operation! Pin that supports incubator snapped off of the non-drive end. Incubator itself operated very well, but this cradle is high priced junk! When the link breaks, the cradle then tips the incubator and dumps the eggs out of the incubator.

Very helpful when you're busy and need reliable egg turning
I have a Brinsea Eco 20 that I've used for a couple of years. While I like the Eco, I thought I would save money by turning it myself. Since I work full time and I'm pretty busy, I realized that I would miss turning the Eco a few times. While that didn't always result in disaster, if I had to go out of town for the weekend, 2-3 days of not turning the eggs usually resulted in either fewer eggs hatching on time or difficulty in hatching (chicks stuck or misshapen). Since watching chicks suffer from hatching problems takes some of the joy out of hatching eggs, ensuring a good hatch is well worth the time and money. This turning cradle is well worth the cost and peace of mind if you're busy and interested in heading off problems later.

Necessary product if you own the Octo 20
I purchased the Brinsea Octo 20 believing this was included (as it was in the picture). Little did I know that this very expensive item was additional to the already very expensive (and now no longer sold on Amazon?) Brinsea Octo 20.That said, I am on my second hatch and no problems with mine so far. First hatch it worked great, chicks started hatching 36 hours early and peep to zip to out on average very quick. So from this turning cradle perspective, it definitely helped the chicks not stick to the sides of the egg. Glad I purchased. I hope it holds up.
