Games Workshop 99120105074" Astra Militarum Cadian Infantry Squad Miniature

I've been thinking about starting an IG army so I bought this set as a jumping off point. It actually comes with more options than I expected. There's enough parts here to make 10 complete guardsmen, but the kit gives you plenty of options as to how you outfit them. You can make up to 2 sergeants, 2 flamers, 2 vox casters, and 2 grenade launchers (with the remaining guys just carrying lasguns) whereas I only expected the box to have one of each. This was a nice bonus because I already had some guardsmen with lasguns.Of course, the trade-off is that these aren't the nice, easy snap together models that come in the guardsmen minibox. These aren't even the fit together models like in the Dark Imperium set. These guys literally just have flat or rounded surfaces that you have to stick together with glue. It can be a bit of pain, but it's not too bad with some patience and decent modeling glue and it allows you tons of customization for your models.

Good model kit, lots of options and hard to beat the price.

Simple to build, the easiest and it's fun to kit bash. You only get a flamers and grenade launchers though. No plasma, melta, and snipers

Price is right, always need more recruitment for the Planet Defense Force. Need more and more. We need a refresh I started buying these guys back in forth edition.

If you are creating an Astra Militarum 40k army or Kill Team this is going to usually be the backbone of any force so you will be needing quite a few of these boxes. There is one big flaw to these Cadian Shock Troop boxes though and it's that these squads are allowed to take anything from plasma guns to melta guns but guess what? The box only comes with grenade launchers and flamers. This means you want anything besides those two options you will either have to go on ebay and buy individual special weapons to outfit your squads or you will have to buy the Cadian Command Squad boxes which for some reason DO contain all of the special weapons options that this box should come with.Still these sculpts are iconic and even if you feel they are a bit long in the tooth there are a wealth of 3rd party options out there that create Imperial Guard style bits to customize your own regiment and really make it something that is yours and not just another generic Guard army.

GW has made the models easier to put together. I started in 2003 and the improvements are vast. I still like the pewter or metal models because they don't move as easy. You don't knock them over just by brushing them with shirt sleeve.

Ich kaufte sie nicht da ich die Cadian Infantrie mag, sondern um sie zu meinen eigenen Kaerls zu formen. Das ist funktioniert mit ihnen sehr gut. Man hat viele gestalltungsmöglichkeiten und mit Hilfe des Greenstuffs sind schnell die abgehärteten Krieger von Fenris geschaffen.

Il prodotto è arrivato entro i termini di consegna e come descritto. Metto 4 stelle perchè la scatola era un poco rovinata (evidentemente è stata schiacciata) ma tengo a precisare che tutti i pezzi sono in perfetto stato e che l'imballaggio di Amazon era ottimo, forse è stata "danneggiata" in precedenza.
