Customer Support Very Limited
Bought half a dozen BrightSign media players. Company provides over a dozen 3-7 minute long-winded training videos to explain how to schedule and network. No phone support. Email support only lasted for 2 messages. No resolution to a very simple request for help with one video! Supposedly user-friendly - not my experience!

Absolutely terrible
Do you like aggravation and frustration? Do you enjoy spending days upon days just trying to figure out terribly engineered software? Do wish you could use your laptop as a frisbee? If you answered yes to any of the following, you're gonna love BrightSign. You might be asking yourself, "how bad could it really be"?Well, lemme tell you... Never in my entire life have I used a piece of software that was so incredibly cluttered, so counter intuitive, so (unnecessarily) overly complex, so convoluted, so clunky, and so bloated, just to accomplish something so simple, ...like configuring a digital signage player. Now don't get me wrong, their hardware lineup is actually pretty nice and boasts some cool features. HOWEVER, no matter how nice their hardware is, this "BightAuthor Connected" software you'll need to use to configure one of these players is a complete and utter dumpster fire and it RUINS-THE-ENTIRE-SYSTEM.I just wanted to configure and deploy a dozen or so players, not spend the next 4-6 weeks of my life learning a foreign language. But that's exactly what you'll be doing too if you get tangled up with BrightSign. Oh, and their (free) tutorial videos of some guy droning on and on and on through what sounds like a fast food intercom system are of no use either...
