This is a great cookbook with lots of wonderful Jewish recipes. It is HUGE! Exactly as described and pictured! I am very pleased.

Probably the most amazing cookbook of all my cookbooks on my shelf, of all categories and all regions of the world. It is simply gorgeous and it looks very easy to follow. It weighs a ton, more than al encyclopedia! Colorful plating photographs everywhere throughout the book. Highly recommend it.

If you buy only one Jewish cookbook, make it this one. A friend has an earlier, thinner version of this cookbook and while looking through it I was compelled to buy one for myself. This edition is fantastic! The cultural and religious background info is well-written and informative. The recipes are varied (Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Ethiopian, Israeli, Indian and more) and easy to follow. I've already made several dishes that turned out great and can't wait to try more. Measurements in standard (cups, tablespoons) and metric (grams, milliliters) for use anywhere.I'm not Jewish but love the food and many recipes in here I hadn't thought of as Jewish before, just "European". Excellent value and resource.

Bought this book and give it to my best (Jewish) friend for Christmas. She loves to cook and wanted to explore more of her heritage foods. We are making meals from this book to try before our trip to Israel. The book is wonderful. It gives some history, great photographs and a good selection of recipies.

Great photos! It really is nice to be able to see what your recipe is supposed to look like when it's done, plus the photos help you to decide quickly if this might be interesting to make. Of course, the photos look absolutely DELICIOUS, which is also good for motivation!

The recipes in this cookbook provide enough variety to keep any cook with an endless number of delicious meals. From a strictly Jewish perspective, it encompasses the history and widely diverse world of Jewish cooking. Food has played a part in Jewish life in a religious,cultural, and nationalistic way. This cookbook encompasses a vast amount of the recipes that contribute to each of these areas. In other books the word "Complete" is exaggerated. The Complete Guide to Traditional Jewish Cooking comes very close providing true completeness.

This was a gift to my cousin for Christmas. She has a new relative that is Jewish and was so excited to get it. It is a great book as it has a lot of information plus the receipts. The book is large easy to read and a lot of color pictures. It is one of those books that you find yourself spending a lot of time with.

Great book, sooo many recipes which seem easy to read . A heavy large hardback book, my only issue is out of 400 recipes there are only 10 chicken recipes, a few more would of been nice which is why I've given four stars, but other than that it seems to cover absolutely every recipe you could imagine and more!

Well, this is a book for the world. it has all sorts of information, helpful hints and lots of lovely dishes. I am so looking forward to trying out a few of the recipies
