The Walking Dead: All Out War Artist's Proof Edition

The other reviewer apparently didn't know what they were buying, but I did.This is a really awesome peek into the comic book creation process. It would be awesome if Kirkman follows up with a similar version for Days Gone Bye, Fear The Hunters, No Way Out, and the Prison Finale arc.It's simply Adlard's pencils, before inking. The lettering is added so you can read the story in one edition. Due to when AOW takes place, it's split in half in the main book's hardcovers. Still, it's really cool seeing the linework on this arc.The hardcover is just as sturdy as the standard Walking Dead books, but this volume's not considered part of those volumes. This book is more suited to connoisseurs of comic art than average fans.

A truly wonderful book for the story and art. The extra special thing about the book is that is the pencils and not the inked artwork. It is fairly rare to see the original pencil drawings (even if you have access to the artist editions etc which are generally always inked) but I wish the pencils were made available with most comic book artwork (along with the black and white inks) especially as now many of the works are available via sites such as the Marvel Unlimited.This is a great resource for any artist wishing to see the approach used by a top ranking artist in the field.

Having not seen this. Had to add to the collection. Good quality and a must to the collectors library.
