This drain is far and away the best I've ever found, and I'm honestly not sure why more drain assemblies are not designed like this. I bought this specific drain for two primary reasons: * The ENTIRE pipe is one piece, where many have a threaded tailpiece that screws into the strainer. Being one-piece makes for fewer leak points. * The retainer nut is VERY tall, which makes installation incredibly easy (and far easier to use a wrench than the typically thin competitors, but hand-tightening is all that is needed). Indeed, installation was a snap, and didn't require any tools, plumber's putty, or thread sealants at all. The included silicone pipe gasket completely seals the pipe to the sink, which many if not most fail to do. Performance-wise, the design is utterly brilliant. As other reviewers have pointed out, the drain stopper is very large. While some don't like this, I find it very nice-looking, elegant, and upscale. Water drains VERY quickly, with no backup or unwanted filling of the sink whatsoever. Cleaning is insanely easy. One literally only has to grab the stopper and lift it right out of the drain assembly. The wide cage design of the strainer makes it super easy to clean out any debris. The stopper also works flawlessly if you need to fill the sink with water. Press once to engage, press once to release. The feel of the mechanism exudes quality, and is very satisfying to engage. There is no leaking when the stopper is engaged, which seems to defy the ease with which it gets installed (literally place it in the drain...that's it). With all of these accolades, why is does my headline read, "ALMOST perfect"? The one minor flaw I see with this is the curious omission of a slip washer to go between the brass retainer nut and the bottom silicone gasket. Such a washer (which many others have) would prevent the bottom gasket from experiencing a torsional load from the rotation of the brass retainer nut, and ensure only a linear compression, thereby preventing the bottom gasket from bunching up / stretching and potentially introducing a leak point. I am so impressed with the one unit I purchased that I'm going to purchase four more for the remaining bathroom sinks in my house. This is seriously awesome.

Easy install, well made and nice finish. The gaskets were nice, no leaks. I like the removable basket, no more lost items. Easy to clean too.

I haven't written many Amazon reviews lately, but this drain is just so simple and well made that I had to spread the word. My ~40 yr old Moen drain never worked right since we bought the house a year ago. The drain is fine, but the plumbing under the sink interfered with the pull-stalk style stopper. So I went looking for a pop-up, push-to-stopper style. This review is for that drain with the bypass. First, I don't know much about marketing, but I pay attention because so many companies do it well and so may don't. It's packaged like they want to keep your business. Carboard box with no tape or staples--just an easy-to-open flap. Inside you'll find a very short install guide, a card with the QC inspector's initials and date, and a cloth bag stuffed in a styrofoam holder. The cloth bag contains the drain, pre-assembled in the order the pieces go in. Even if you've never done one before, this is hard to mess up. Pulling my old one out required an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel, just because of corrosion and clearances. The good news is that getting this thing in was a breeze. Drop it in place, line up the seals as instructed, hand tighten, and turn on the water. It's seriously that easy. First time, no leaks. I've done a few of these before, and they're not that hard, but I didn't have to find my plumber's putty, and didn't struggle with tightening until the leaks went away. They just weren't there. The trick is the silicone seals. Not sure why we don't use these for everything. In my experience, they're soft enough but tough enough that they seal just about whatever they're used for. The drain itself is well constructed and functions right. Solid brass (mine was chrome-plated finish) with a decently thick wall. The nut is huge compared to most--makes it easy to hand-tighten. There was no paper gasket between the seal and nut like most have, but it wasn't an issue. The nut turned just fine. I won't say it too loud, because the price is too good to be true, but this could easily compete in the range of those priced twice what this is. Of course, I never would have tried it if it were.... You won't go wrong with this thing.

The quality on these sink drain was top notch. Easy installation and useful functionality. We replaced all 5 sinks in our home with this product.

I was looking for a replacement for my 2-year old Crosswater brushed nickel pop up drain - we live in an area with very hard water that had destroyed the finish. After trying several units, I found this Regal. The Nickel is not quite as "gray" as I would like. It looks more like a chrome with some slight brushing. The difference is that the Crosswater is over $200 and does not include a drain basket. This unit is all metal and includes an easy to remove drain basket catcher. At about $25, I can replace these every two years (if they wear like the Crosswater did) by just pulling off the top and substituting a new one. Install was dirt-simple with just a plumbers pliers. The seals work perfectly, no leaking and the basket catch is a nice addition. Pros: - Easy install - Basket catcher - easy to clear Cons: - Not exactly "Brushed Nickel", more like a slightly brushed steel. Recommendation: This well-made replacement pop-up should compliment just about any brushed or satin handleset, but don't expect an exact match.

Great quality. Seems to be made of high quality components and materials. Brass and Stainless Steel. Installation is made a bit easier by the silicone gaskets. Installation doesn't call for any plumbers putty or silicone sealant. No leaks, after my install. I used some synthetic grease on the threads to allow all the gaskets to slide on easily, and tighten the nut only hand tight. No wrench was needed. Works well, and easy to operate. I have installed other drains in sinks over the years. Always need silicone sealant on the threads below the sink, or water will run around the thread and leak out the bottom. With this drain, the sealant is not needed. First time ever I have found this to be the case. Time will tell. Instructions say to "Feel free to Contact them" ... but include no contact information.

I was amazed by the quality. It came boxed wrapped is a sock. On removal the quality hits you, all brass and stainless steel, not a plastic part to be seen. It has 2 silicone washer so you don't need plumbers putty to install. It was a simple swap from the old corroded unit. Super product great quality

Have Delta faucet with pop-up drain stop. Worst design imaginable. The stopper screwed into a fixed part in a plastic drain tube with small holes for water flow/draining. Clogs were inevitable and it was virtually impossible to clean due to the small holes. Was going to replace the entire faucet to get a better design but stumbled on this. Very well made (it has some heft), comes in a soft bag to protect the entire unit protected by styrofoam in the box. The stopper itself also has a plastic cap on it (you take off) to protect it during shipment. Also had a Quality Control check card in the box (what?). Quick install and all by hand. Didn't feel the need to use a wrench to tighten the nut underneath. Didn't use plumbers putty or silicone. Zero leaks out of the gate. Tested water hold with drain stop down and no leaks that I could hear/see and it surprised me because the drain stop appears to set a ways above the sink top but there is a little seal flange underneath the drain stop. Coming off my Delta experience, I was looking for something with a lot of drain flow and big drain holes in the drain pipe and the description of "detachable basket stopper" was appealing given if I used it without it it would flow better. Turns out, the basket stopper seats on a very small lip on the drain pipe and you screw the drain stop into that so you have to use the basket stopper. With that, still giving a great review because you can take the basket stopper out in 2 seconds and clean the drain pipe and basket if need be. I got the brushed nickel version and matched up great with existing faucet and other hardware.

Not nickel as on the picture, paint is peeling right from the package. Package is just a nylon bag with no any protection, and pop-up cap is sitting curved in the tube and not working...

Item was delivered quickly, the packaging was awesome! Much better than what you can buy in store. Installation took all of 2 and half minutes and it looks awesome! And works as I expected it to! Couldn't have asked for a better product!

Absolutely great product. Installation was super easy. The wide bronze nut makes it much more convenient compared to many other models that use a thin nut, which can be difficult to grip with a wrench. The two quality silicone gaskets provide excellent water insulation without the need for additional sealants or water-resistant caulking. This product definitely outperforms similar options from RONA and Home Depot when it comes to price and quality.
