The product didn't come with instructions (minus 1 star), so my first batch of pancakes were a partial fail - the batter stuck to the silicon and had to be pushed out after flipping and looked uneven around the edges. After reading online instructions on use, I sprayed my griddle with cooking spray, placed the silicone mold, and sprayed that completely. Then I continued to make the pancakes on the griddle. They came out perfectly.Now, is this item really necessary - or would I use - for regular pancakes. Not at all. However, I also like making filled pancakes - usually with ricotta - and this item worked really well for that. I use on a griddle set to 350 degrees.1. Use just enough batter to cover the bottom of the mold.2. Place the filling, then spread and flatten a bit.3. Add more batter to cover the filling.4. After 6-8 minutes or so, 'test' to see if ready to flip - first slide a spatula underneath to completely loosen from pan, then lift up slightly on a tab and see if pancake keeps shape or if it starts sinking through middle. Wait until firm enough to flip.5. Flip, then cook about two minutes more (depends on thickness of batter and pancake).You should really use a griddle for this. I have subsequently watched some video reviews of items like this and a pan typically lifts the tabs enough that batter leaks through the bottom. On my griddle, I can fit two molds at a time too.(BTW, on my filled pancakes, I go a further step of deep frying them for a minute or two. Not so healthy, but oh so delicious). ### ⭐⭐⭐ It was really ok. You could just make your own. *by H***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2019* I read the negative reviews of this product, and thought “That would never happen to me!” But, some of the bad reviews do have some truth. Id say one star is very dramatic, because the pancakes were made and tasted fine, but I’d be skeptical of the 5 star reviews. It was going really great until I flipped it. The bottoms sort of merged into one “super pancake” but it was fine and they were very easy to just break apart. The shapes were cute, and intact.Just some important notes:•The silicone does get hot, so i recommend flipping with an oven mit•Spray your pan and the red thing because when I made the shapes, they stuck a little (pictured) but when i sprayed the whole thing and made the circles, they came out fine.•Use a pan where the red thing fits on the whole bottom, even with a little space, or else it will leak. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it! *by M***Z on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2018* This product came just in time!
