High Quality Stand
First time I have bought K&M. Holy crap this is quality stuff! Hard to go back to my usual, even though my usual is very, very good. This is in a different league.

Stability is important
Having premium equipment is very important to me and that includes stands, if you've ever stripped out threads on a microphone stand you know what I mean...buy quality!

Very well made
A very solid boom. My vocal mic is very secure. Materials used are first rate and everything moves smoothy.

Excellent
Wunderbar von Deutschland, of course. I made the mistake of ordering a cheap boom arm several years ago and it took all of those years to accept it was slightly off in size and while appearing to be the right thread size it was just shy of actually connecting. This K&M fits the regular US mic stands perfectly and it is well made!

K & M 21120 mic boom appears to be less than heavy duty enough for an RE-20...
I like the boom for Shure SM-58 mics, but my larger EV-RA-20 mic does cause the boom to slowly go down during my show, even when tightened fully. It seems to be suspect in that regard, perhaps because of how far the boom and microphone is required to extend over my YAMAHA Motif ES8. What really bugs me is my standard RE-20 mic clip with 5/8” threads doesn’t want to screw on the end of the boom with out an adapter, which (of course) has a tendency to come loose at inopportune times during a performance. I have to keep fiddling with a $40 mic boom that I thought I would just put on my mic stand and work. I bought an Ultimate Support QR-1 Quick Release adapter so that allows the RE-20 mic clip to firmly attach to the mic boom.

Not too good
Just didn't live up to its description. It doesn't hold its position very well and most often needs two hands to adjust. One to turn the handle that loosens or tightens and one to hold the screw on the other side. I'm a drummer but any one can imagine what it's like to have a constantly drooping mic stand and miss your singing parts. Oh well. On to the next attempt to find a good boom. Oh.....I don't recommend this product.

This is absolutely the best boom stand I've ever used
This is absolutely the best boom stand I've ever used, and I've owned a lot of brands over the years. The knobs tighten easily, and stay put for years in a semi-permanent setup . This stand is a little shorter than the classic boom, which makes it good for keyboard rigs, or adding to a guitarist's stand. (A collapsible stand plus a short boom is just about the ideal configuration for most musician needs.) It has thinner tubes than some of the competition, meaning that it will tend to disappear on stage a little better. I own eight of these booms.

Just Right
I play uke and sing in small restaurants. This boom arm enables me to get a mic right up to my mouth. There's no long arm sticking out the back to bother other people. I really appreciate this item.

Adjustable boom arm.
I find that most boom arms that come with stands are too long. This one provides a good range of length.

Great Mini Telescopic Mic Boom
Solid mic boom, great design. Ideal for keyboard Spider stands. Don't know how they can make for the money! Highly Recommended!

Excellent Quality
Everything you'd expect from "mad in Germany". Do note that both the female thread that this uses to mount onto another pole, and the male thread at the end which would receive your microphone holder clip, are both 5/8", despite how it may appear in the image. There are two versions of this product, one with the tightening knob shown here, and one with a longer rod with a ball at each end, which would presumably provide more torque for tightening. The existence of that other version did have me slightly concerned that it might be necessary to get a good fit but rest assured that is absolutely not the case. It is possible, very easily and smoothly, to get a very tight hold with this knob. Knowing that, I would say this one is better since there is no worry that the rod might bend or clank around.
