Covers the hybrid technique Scanning Near-Field Optical Microscopy with Confocal Raman microscopy.  Includes a chapters on low-frequecy studies, chemometrics and accuracy in Raman specra.  Applications of Raman spectroscopy are given individual chapters and include the following topics:  Gases, Crystals, Glass, Gemmology, Semiconductor Nanostructures, In Vivo, Pharmaceuticals, aqueous environmental, catalysts, forensics, organic fivers and films, archaeology, Process/Industrial control among other applications.
