While not the brightest light, the rigid aluminum housing helps to dissipate heat and lend a classy look. However, the under powered transformer gets extremely hot and causes its internals to overheat, emitting a faint burning smell. Physical deformation can be seen. This has happened on two of the three units I bought, all purchased in late 2018 from Amazon.
