IdealFit 33-38 Sash Window Pet Door w 9"x 15" Flap

This is a PHENOMENAL product! It truly is! Easy installation, fits in the track snug like a window, looks very clean (looks great on my only 2yr old, modern house), very sturdy! The kids (cat and dog) love it!The only thing I added to the window was a security brace.I am extremely pleased with this product. I will take it with me everytime I move!I really can't say enough. It comes with weather stripping and everything you need!

For my dogs who are small to medium. They love it. They take flying leaps out to fences in backyard. They became house trained . My window is low to the floor and it looks good and easy set up. Need a new flap now. It is a hard size to find.

The product came quickly as promised, no obvious defects.Easy installation.The weather stripping was insufficient for creating an air tight/weather tight seal for my window frame (nothing a few extra dollars couldn't fix).The flap panel is of low quality but acceptable, there are occasional gaps that let in the weather and air.I would prefer an easier device for locking the window in place.I would recommend this item to anyone that needs a good product but doesn't want to pay the extraordinary costs of the normal sash dog doors. I got what I paid for and I am happy with the product.

We moved to a new house, and had no doors or sliders to set up a traditional doggie door. Although my husband had to build them a ramp outside and steps inside, they now have freedom of movement in the fenced yard.It was easy to set up in the sash window, although we did add a little extra molding to help seal it from the wind.

The product works just like I wanted it to. It was a little thick for my window track because I used it in a thin window in my enclosed patio. However, I suspected this might be the case when I ordered it but we were still able to make it work with a small modification. It does fit nice and snug in the window frame and I don't forsee any problems with the comings and goings of my small dogs causing it to become loose.It would have been nice if the product had come with a foam insulation strip to put between the two window panes when the bottom window pane is open (also usually found with the purchase of window A/C units, etc), but this can be picked up at a home improvement store.So far I haven't experienced any major rain storms or driving rain against the panel so I can't comment on its ability to stand up to any rough weather. However, it isn't classified as a rough weather door, and there isn't any extra weather "seal" (bristle-type material) along the sides of the flap as some other pet doors. Thus, I would expect there could be some leakage with driving rain against the pet door.This is a sturdy product and works great without requiring you to put a permanent hole in anything.

I love my new dog door. Both my miniature dachshunds and my golden retriever mix use it. It is easy to install--just open your window and fit it in there. It comes with sealing strips to seal out the heat or cold. I live in Mississippi where it regularly reaches 100 degrees in the summer, and I have not had any issue with heat coming through. It also comes with a locking panel that you can place anytime you don't want to dogs to come in or out. I am so happy with this product because I can take it with me if I ever move, and I didn't have to cut a hole in a door to install it!

I removed from straight from the box and I installed it quickly and easily into the window. It then only took me a few days to train my cat to push the plastic door flap open with his little nose and slip in and out of the window. I do recommend this product for both quality and convenience.

This product was very easy to install. I was able to attach the weather stripping as instructed; but have not been able to attach the 'vinyl draft-seal extrusion'. I found the instructions very vague and there was not a picture diagram of this extrusion to use as an example. Overall, my dog has adapted to the pet door very well.
