Source Naturals D-Ribose for Workout, Energy, and Recovery* - 120 Tablets

I have multiple medical conditions -- but one doctor recently suggested I may have chronic fatigue syndrome and/or fibromyalgia. That's not good news -- but at least it gave to me a path to start researching options to make me feel better.Years ago I was told once I started treating my hypothyroidism with Synthroid (brand name) over the generic, I'd feel great. Years passed -- No such luck. I was also told if I started treating my type 2 diabetes with Metformin, I'd feel loads better. Four years passed -- no help with energy (if anything, it got worse). At some point I just stopped doing everything and anything I loved due to constant pain. I can say by my mid-30s, I thought it would be unbearable to live this way. I've had spinal surgery, knee surgery, abdominal surgery, repair of a large hiatal hernia, etc. -- but no relief in energy no matter what. I take Nature's Code supplements (as well as others), but they never resulted in restoring energy. I even use the Philips blue-light therapy, but very little improvement in sleep. Then I read about other supplements while researching CFS and fibromyalgia, and Ribose stood out.I honestly didn't think it would work. I've been taking it only a few weeks, and the aching is less -- not a whole lot less, but enough to notice. I used to have trouble getting up--as if I was stuck like velcro to a chair. My knees, ankles, hips, and shoulders seemed not to cooperate -- that is until a week ago when I got right up, pain-free and without any effort. I actually stopped and recognized this moment two seconds after it happened because it was so unusual. Then I just went about my day because I forgot I had even taken the D Ribose. Yes, I had aches again later in the evening -- felt myself wind down. But when I take these (2 tabs, 3 times a day) -- I seem to get some relief.When every task is painful, and you dread even things that make you happy because of pain -- well, anything relatively safe is worth a try. I cleared it with my nutritionist and she said it was fine, but seemed not to know it well. For someone like me -- even 10% improvement is a miracle and greatly appreciated. I'm sort of excited to see if I have more improvement. I wrote this review so that others who are in the undecided zone might want to give it a try. I think results vary from person to person -- and I'm approaching my fatigue from all angles. I'd call your doctor's office to clear it before you invest; but in my case, it seems to be helping.

I've been taking the Source Naturals D-Ribose tablets for a while now, and the energy boost is noticeable! Whether I'm working out or just trying to get through a busy day, they really help with stamina and recovery. I feel more energized and less fatigued overall. The tablets are easy to take, and I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my energy levels since I started using them. Highly recommend these if you need a natural energy boost!

There is a lot to say on this topic and I can point you in the right direction. For those of you in the same boat as myself with a serious heart problem this is a must read good. Metabolic Cardiology is heavy reading but one that explains what your cardiologist doesn't know can KILL YOU. I am not sure of this results of this product since I just started it but I do know folks like me need Ribose, L-Carnitine & Coenzyme every day. Considering that it is the leading case of death in the U.S. I hope everyone reads Metabolic Cardiology by Stephen Sinatra (the 5 starts are for this physician). As a retired pathologist this man is right on but most of us cardiologist just want you to take your BP and write an ICD code now a days instead of doing a through history and letting the patient buy their own BP machine and take it themselves.

I was using the powdered Ribose and it was helpful, but not very convenient. These work just as well and I can take them with anything, not just something that will taste good with sweet/maple flavoring. It is so much more convenient than powder on the go, as well, and it takes up a LOT less room in the house since I take it so much!It doesn't give a huge burst of energy, but it does keep me from getting quite so worn out. I take 2 per day, usually, (morning and lunch/early afternoon) and it keeps me going all day without being so exhausted by evening. These still have the pleasant maple/brown sugar smell, so you could probably crush it and add to a liquid if you wanted or dissolve in something hot. I haven't tried that. These pills aren't small, but I have no trouble taking them due to the shape (long, fairly thin, flat). I highly recommend if you need something to give you a little extra energy/stamina due to fibro or CFS.

I have been buying Source Naturals D-Ribose for several years now. I am a heart patient and I use this in conjunction with several other supplements to help keep my heart healthy. Usually I've bought capsules but this is a solid caplet which I like much better. Even though it is a large size it is smooth to swallow. Good value and amount. Highly recommend it.

Did not meet expectations based on what I had read. This does not work wonders so don't have high expectations.

Seems to be a good product, but I don't like having to take 3 pills once or twice a day. The product I used previously , which was out of stock, was only 1 capsule/ day

We'll see if Dr. Sinatra's Awesome Foursome combined with a statin bring down my cholesterol/lipids to acceptable levels. Maybe I can go off the statin- they're dangerous, despite manufacturers claims.
