I have bought 5 of these for gifts. For people who are mechanically inclined and like to tinker and build things. Every single one has been a smashing success! Every recipient has loved the assembly and now has a cherished product to share and tinker with.I received reports that there were extras of a few pieces that might have been prone to breakage, but none of the extras were needed because none of the first attempt pieces broke. There is also enough uncut wood to cut your own custom pieces if needed.Perfect working order after assembly on every single style of this brand. Bought this as a learning tool for my Grandson for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! Unlike most models, this one actually required him to engage his brain and not just mindlessly follow instructions. As a Kid who enjoys challenges, this model met his expectations well and kept him engaged for more than a week putting the pieces together. He is 13 and he is a very quick learner, so the model was intriguing and challenging. The model is well designed and I anticipate he will enjoy this for many years to come. I would highly recommend this as a Gift for any aspiring Young person.

So you really need to know what you’re getting yourself into when you build these projects. There’s a reason why they give you the sandpaper and the block of wax. The pieces are not going to fit like they do in a puzzle every time. Even the slightest imperfection could throw off the whole thing. You need to expect that. Figuring out what slight adjustments and tweaks you need to make to get the thing working is part of the fun! Two things that I recommend you have that don’t come with the kit are a small hammer (because some pieces are going to need a little… persuasion), and a bottle of wood glue (because you WILL end up snapping a few pieces). But if you follow the instructions, and show a little bit of patience, I promise you will be rewarded with a really fun piece that will entertain little kids and big kids alike!

All in all this is a very good product with some interesting twists and turns.PROS: 1) Generally all parts fit together and hole alignments are correct 2) Unit functions correctly once assembled and tweaked 3) I really liked the design and functionality of this unit 4) Great COVID-19 project for indoor entertainment.CONS: 1) There are many, many very small pieces and assembling them can be bothersome at times particularly the tiny G1 insertion pegs and orange rings 2) Instruction manual should be larger and clearer is some areas (I used videos on YouTube when I ran into trouble with the manual 3) I think 5 hours assembly time is way too optimistic especially for a first time assembly 4) Certain parts, especially some of the ramps don't fit flush and are prone to breakage if you try to force them into place. Keep some glue handy 5) As the unit becomes full of parts your dexterity will be put to test....particularly the ramps and placement of main components once they are constructed.Patience is a virtue.....

This is our third Rokr model and we love them all! We have two marble runs and the movie projector. These models are only held together by friction and don't require glue, yet they are very durable once completed. My 4 year old toddler has been playing with our first marble run model for two months and it's still going strong, although we encourage him to be gentle. I would not recommend assembly for little ones. The box suggest ages of 14+ and I agree. Some pieces require a decent amount of pressure to assemble as well as an intuition of the correct amount of pressure to apply. The connecting pieces are mostly thin wood so you could break them if not careful. I only broke a single piece across all three models but I could have easily broken a few more. Luckily, the company includes a few extra pieces of the parts that are easy to break or lose. In summary, these are a great buy for people who like functional models.

Great little puzzle/machine thing! This was a surprise for my husband cause he was bored at home all the time. It took a week to convince him to put it together, but once he started, he didn’t stop. It took him a few hours, maybe four or five at a leisurely pace. It was not very difficult, just need to pay close attention. The instructions were very clear, even had videos to watch, but he didn’t need them. A couple of the really tiny pieces broke trying to get them out of the board, but there were extra. Had to glue a couple pieces to keep them in the right spot. Worked very well after putting together, minor adjustments to stop the balls from jamming or falling out, but no major issues.Will buy another!
