As you can tell by the pictures that I attached, they look natural in the garden that I'm about to plant. My wife decided that she wanted to put in a shade garden and I thought it would be nice to add a little bit of wildlife to the project. I'm excited about the flowers growing next year and I'm extremely happy with the prospect of how well it's going to look with my Toscana statues. If you want real at a reasonable price, Toscano really should be your choice. I couldn't be happier with my purchases.

**Q: is there anything that must be done to preserve the condition of this while being outdoors all spring & summer? i should get some head turners on this**
A: I would try to avoid keeping it out of the full sunlight, that might cause the paint to fade, I have mine right by the front door under a covered walkway.

**Q: Would it scare deer away? Or any other rodents?**
A: I don't think this cougar statue is big enough to even be noticed by a deer much less be intimidated by it.  It's only 22" from it's nose to the tip of it's tail and 8" high.  The DT lioness for $855.00 (the last time I looked) is more life size.  I have both the large lioness and large roaring lion on display in my yard and the squirrels, rabbits & opossums  still come to the bird feeder.  You may need to look elsewhere, other than a statue, to keep deer off your property.  It really is a nice real looking statue. I created a display across the top of my buffet with this statue using rocks from the yard , sprigs of artificial plants and a candle light set to come on at night.  Worked out beautifully.  My mother would have loved it.  As a deterrent for deer, maybe not so much.

**Q: With it saying it's used, is there any flaws on it?**
A: I purchased mine brand-new so if you're buying a used one I can't really tell you if it has flaws or not

I love the lions, however the quality is questionable. They serve their purpose and I'm glad I bought them. Love the details. Mine arrived and I didn't check them carefully, weeks later I saw there was a hole in one and couldn't believe I missed it. I didn't go through the hazzle of returning them, I just plugged the hole with spackling. The lions arrived more light grey than off white, so I spray painted them with a white matte. I am happy with my purchase.
