Very good material strong but light great look as well

4 mm good size for most uses except for Amazon custom made, military type dog tags. 4 mm too large in diameter. Use 3 mm for those. 4 mm is a good diameter size for carrying anything important around the neck that you need to rely on, ie self defense items. I don't recommend wearing exposed, above clothing as this chain appears to be strong and doesn't have a "break-away." An attacker could use it offensively to garrote or choke a victim. "IF" needed to wear outside of clothing, be sure to purchase a lanyard with a break-away, to add a level of security, making it more difficult for an attacker.

Not a bad quality at all for the price. My only complaint is that I ordered the 3mm. When it came that is indeed how the package was labeled. However what I have is clearly a 1mm as my photo shows when comparing it to another chain I own that actually is 3mm. Fortunately the length is what I ordered.

The chain was to long but very easy to make it the length needed.

I had no idea that there were different sizes of these ball chain. Based on the pictures, I, unfortunately, assumed this was the standard size. Returned due to it being too small. However, the product is as described.
