Gets the Job Done
I spent two months looking for a portable pull-up bar that didn’t use the door frame. I chose this one because of a video on YouTube of a senior citizen fitness coach using this pull-up bar on the beach. It’s not hard to put together and def can be done by anyone in under 5 mins. I could do it in less than 60 seconds if I needed to. If the screw isn’t going in perfectly, you can twist the bar a little and line the holes up better. Really isn’t rocket science. If you are trying to replace a door frame pull up bar this is worth the buy. You can even do neutral grip pull-ups but they’ll be a little wider than you’re used to. It’s just as solid as anything else not buried in the ground or weighing too much to carry. It’ll get the job done. It’ll rock if you lean back hard or start going nuts, but it’s not a “oh this is about to break” kind of rock, as it is sturdier than I thought and made of what appears to be thick metal. It more feels like it’ll tip over if you play too much, but the legs are too long, so it won’t. I use mine regularly every week utilizing every possible grip, and it gets the job done. I decided to write this to help someone like me who is going back and forth. If the one you receive is like mine, you’ll be glad.

Good but don’t swing to pull up
I like that it can be taken apart and put back within a few minutes which means i can keep it in my bedroom with limited space. It hides perfectly under my bed. The issues i have with it is that its not too stable and leans a lot towards one side. Making it feel like it will snap. This might not be an issue with some but the bar itself is pretty thick so small hands will have trouble wrapping around and its really smooth so sweaty hands will slide right off but a glove and wrist straps will fix that problem.

Please beware!!!!!!
Product is extremely flimsy and seems unsafe once assembled I put it together and attempted to do a pull-up but it wouldn't stop shaking for me to feel secure enough to do. Do not order this product from Amazon if you're still interested in it they will not help with returns and the box it came it is destroyed

Not impressed
It's flimsy which was expected and rocks tremendously. I can definitely see myself being frustrated with this thing during a workout. The idea is there but the execution is poor. Putting the pins inside the holes is a nuisance from the get go because the holes don't align well. I also wish it was taller or they made one with extra parts to support taller people. I'm 6'0 and feel like I'm using a bar that's made for a child. The only reason I'm not returning it is because it's either this or the calisthenics park infested with little kids who's parents won't tell them anything while people are trying to workout. I never thought it'd be so hard to find a decent set up for pull ups, dips and australians. I'm saving up for a better set up but the really good ones cost an arm and a leg so unfortunately, this was the cheapest option to do all the exercises mentioned above. If you really need it temporarily, as I do, then sure, why not? But if you can afford to wait and save up for a better set up like the ones by Solo Strength or Bodyweight Masters then I say do it, especially if you're serious about calisthenics. FYI, I called Bodyweight Masters, they're in the middle of changing locations and said they might have more free standing pull up bars at the end of the summer. I really hope so because theirs is like $600 with shipping vs Solo Strength's being more like $800.
