Husqvarna Part Number 532403087 Spindle Asm.-LH

Started having problems with the front wheels falling off our Craftsman riding lawn mower. Replaced the spindles and the wheel hub bushings and the wheels have stayed on with no more trouble.

My left-side bushings were completely shot, so in addition to ordering bearings as an upgrade instead of bushings, I ordered this spindle to compliment the refresh. It took me quite a while to find the right part, ereplacementparts led me really astray to the wrong part. Glad I checked here ; visually the part line up and it fits perfectly on the Husqvarna 42" YTH18542.(See image for reference) On the steering rod, I used a socket wrench on the bottom (blue in the image) and the open end of combination wrench to hold the nut on top (red in the image) to remove the bottom nut. The arm then lifts out of the spindle.At this point the e-clip (or c-clip) is the only thing holding the spindle on the axle. I removed the e-clip using a flat head screwdriver in one hand and needle-nose pliers in the other to push it out (green in the image).From there, the spindle comes out the bottom. Installation is in reverse order.Note, I believe there are actually also supposed to be rubber covers on top of the spindle... but on my mower these were either omitted, or someone forgot to install them (leaning towards the latter). If you have dust covers, note you may have to loosen those for removal using a hair dryer or heat gun so they'll come off. Also note this spindle does not come with a new dust cover ( I wasn't expecting it too ).

I had a toe issue on a Craftsman DLS 3500. Contemplated trying to bend it back in my vice, but for under $20, why not get a new one. Should have gotten new bushings/washers as well (it doesn’t come with any), but the old ones will work for now. Problem solved!!

The spindles are all under welded and tend to break . This time I will add welds myself .

I go the right part even though I was installing it on an Ariens (made by Husky). I then discovered the welded axle was also a problem and then I saw that the drag links were bent. Don't just zero in on this one part and forget about the others I mentioned.

Direct OEM part replacement. Perfect fit for a 2015 Husquvarna YTH22K42 Lawn Tractor (left hand side front wheel axle). Fast shipping from US Vendor to Canada. In my picture can see the old bracket is slightly bent compared to the new one. This was enough to cause the tractor to have a very bad alignment in the one wheel. This is the first lawn tractor that I have seen that doesn't have adjustable tie-rods. Reading up on the internet there was a video that said the easiest (and cheapest) way to fix the problem was to replace the part for $30. This saved me from cutting/welding/threading the existing tie rod to make it adjustable. Quick and easy fix in under 10 minutes; just remove the dust caps on the top of the axle and at the wheel rim and remove each steel e-clip, disconnect the 9/16" tie-rod nut and side old axle out of the walking beam axle. Grease and install new part reinstalling the e-clips and 9/16" tie-rod nut.
