No More Diapers for Ducky! (Ducky and Piggy) [Ford, Bernette, Williams, Sam] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. No More Diapers for Ducky! (Ducky and Piggy) Review: Super cute book and my son loves it! - We are currently in the process of potty training my son (2 year old) and I find this book very helpful. I started reading this book to him few months ago when he goes to sit on his little toilet at night, and it’s becoming a routine now that he would ask for the book when he goes to sit on the toilet. He likes many parts of the book and would say knock knock with me when we get to parts that ducky/piggy knocks on the door, and as we read the book, he would point at himself and says he’s sitting on the potty too! I like the little details they put in the book, like having the texture diaper on the front cover and the illustrations are super cute. Don’t expect the book do the potty training work for you, but it makes the idea of going potty fun for the little ones. Review: the BEST potty training book - so adorable and my 18 month old was wild for it. got her really excited about the potty. simple and beautiful book

Wow ducky!
Piggy can't come out to play with Ducky because he is using the potty. Ducky must come to his own conclusion that he is ready to ditch his diaper as well and use the potty on his own terms. This is such a sweet book about Ducky and his personal revelation that he does not need diapers any more... he can use the potty on his own just like his friend Piggy! Ducky could get to the potty a little quicker in this tale so that he has a bit more time on the potty and celebrating his success but a sweet story none the less.

Mom says Boring, 2-year-old Loves It!
We have No More Bottles for Bunny! by Ford, Bernette [Boxer Books,2008] (Board book) and No More Diapers for Ducky! . I purchased both to try and move my twin 2 year old girls away from both their bottle and their diapers. I'm not sure it really did much in either situation, but they really like these books. I find the writing and concept in both books a little too simple and short, but hey, my girls LOVE them! I think they like the clear message about something that clearly applies to them. The illustrations are adorable. My girls look at the pictures of the other books in this series shown on the back cover and ask to read those. I won't buy any more in the series, but we might look for them at the library. These are not books you will necessarily treasure for a lifetime, but they are useful tools to get you through bottle weaning and potty training.

The Best EC Potty Book I've Found
We've done Elimination Communication with our baby since birth. She's now 13 months old. This is our favorite potty book because it doesn't make a big deal out of diaper use. Some babies wear diapers (Ducky), and perhaps some babies (Piggy) don't wear diapers. Some babies who wear diapers (or use diapers as a back-up for EC) can decide that they prefer using the potty over going in their diapers. We also use sign language with our baby, and there are several words in the book that we use signs for: duck, pig, diaper, potty, play/toys, books, and knock (on the door). Our baby loves this book, and we don't get tired of it, either.

this is a good thing, I guess
Ah! The epic tale of the lonely Ducky, longing to play with his friend Piggy. Ducky has no problem just walking in to his friends house and making himself/herself at home. Piggy is on the potty for the majority of the book. Either Duckie plays with toys and reads books really quickly or Piggy has some potty issues... this is a good thing, I guess, because it empowers Ducky with the idea and strength to do away with diapers forever to be just like friend Piggy. Any way. We love the book. Our 1 &1/2 year old loves the book. It's very cute. Be sure to add your own personal sound effects to spice things up, such as: knocking on the floor/door/book itself, making creaking sound with your mouth/throat to sound like a door opening, and have 3 different voices (narrator, Ducky, & Piggy). That helps all parties involved to get the imagination, and potty, flowing.

Cute!
The idea comes across well, I think. Simple and to the point, which is good for toddlers, or, our impatient grandtoddler, anyway... I like the book, glad I bought it. I wish she had more exposure to other children to be able to share toys, visits and growth... damn covid.

The favorite potty training book!
This is the favorite one of all my toddler's potty training books. My in-laws read and read this over and over and then tried to hide it because they read it so many times. My little one found it and wanted to read it again! Many kids start potty training because a peer is potty training and that is what this book is about. It is a very simple book and just adorable. Most potty training books are geared to a boy or a girl and this suits both just fine. If you have a little one that loves animals this is a sure winner. The artwork is wonderful.

Initially my 20 month old son didnt take any interest. But after one or two month he showed interest. Now he has understood the concept and tries to follow ducky's footsteps. He loves the book now.
