Very comfortable & sturdy
Did this sling ever make my life easier ! I had to have both of my titanium knees removed due to an infection. Until I get new knees, I'm confined to a wheelchair and ned a sing to hoist me. We had been using the sling with a hole for potty use. Every time I needed to use it, it was a chore getting it rolled under me. After 2-3 days it would get soiled and we had to wash it, so we had a few. It was very rough and was chafing my skin. I got 3 bedsores from the seams rubbing my butt. It was a nightmare.......Then I found this on Amazon. Like night and day. This just slips behind my back, I lift my legs to put the leg sling under my thighs. I no longer have the torture of the body sling. It easily comes right off and I no longer need to keep the rough full body sling on. This is soooo much more comfortable, cleaner, and way easier to use. Hands down this is a winner. I am 5'0 and 93 lbs and I got the small. I have good upper body strength. The way the sling holds you, an elderly person could use this. Finally my bedsores are going away and we can freely get at my coxxix and butt to attend to the wounds the other sling caused. Straps are VERY stiff, it's only downfall.

A must have
Have 2 other slings for our hydraulic lift but this one is the easiest to use. Have even thrown it in the washing machine and line dried. Still looks like new. A must have if you have to get your LO off the floor or make transfer.

RETURN SHIPPING IS NOT FREE
Although the sling was a good quality product it did not meet the needs of my wife with MS. Even with the padding under the arms it still hurt for her and she began to slip through the sling. I realized at that point I would need to return the sling and get a different style.I was surprised you find out I needed permission from the seller (which was quickly granted through email correspondence). However, I had to pay for the return shipping which cost me $16 USPS Priority Mail. The fact that the buyer had to pay for shipping was not at all made clear at the time of purchase.

So versatile, so comfortable
Using this for my 92yr old father. Great for moving place to place with crossed over straps. Great for commode use with straps not crossed. Great support without leg straps for getting him to stand and regain strength from his stroke.

Great for toilet and showering
My dad has dementia and we needed a sling that would be easy for toilet and showers, we have bought so many and none would work well. This sling is easy, feels safe and easy to remove and put in a patient. I would highly recommend. I tried it on my self and it feels safe, plus it has a seat belt which is extra security. I would highly recommend in watching YouTube videos for this sling since there are different ways in how to secure the patient. Very happy with the purchase

Back support should go to tailbone.
Purchased this unit so that one may have access to lower area of patient for clean up.......unit supports at upper back area with chest strap, pulling leg straps into position and criss-crossing straps, lifting the patient up slowly the straps slid to the back of the knees, and patient was being held from sliding to the floor by the chest strap.

This didn't work for an elderly woman
I am giving this three stars because I think this is a quality product that could be good for some people. It is well made and sturdy. But, it turned out not to work for us. I bought this sling for an elderly woman who has little upper body strength, and little control of her lower body. I (a fairly fit man) tested the sling on myself. Using the belt around my torso, I could not slip out of it whether the sides went under my arms or whether my arms were on the inside. So, I thought it would be safe for her. She has shoulder problems, so she didn't want to have the pads under her arms, wanting her arms inside the sling. We used it twice with her successfully. On the third time, she simply slipped through the strap, even though the strap was tight. She was unhurt, as we caught her. I think the problem is that her body above the strap is smaller than where the strap would best go around her for a lift. She has narrow shoulders, and she has so little muscle tone that when her weight shifted to the strap, her upper body compressed and she slipped through. I don't think this is a problem with the sling or the strap -- I think the problem is that the sling just wasn't right for this patient, who needs much more support than it provided. For someone with an upper body that broadens, rather than narrows, towards the shoulders, and with some muscle tone in the upper body, this sling would probably be fine.

Belt buckle on small waist is uncomfortable
This is a good product however, the belly strap buckle on a small person winds up under their ribs instead of in front. This is too uncomfortable. There is no way to adjust as the belt is fastened to the sling.ok for larger person.
