Not really for Virginia
Of the three books I bought on estates and trusts, this was my least favorite. Most of the book is very general with only one sentence dedicated to living trusts. The case studies are all by Ohio sources. Obviously tax laws are subject to change, but the copyright date on this book was 2014 and the tax values cited were from 2010.Only Chapter 11 is specific to Virginia. The glossary and worksheets may be helpful for planning, but any estate lawyer worth your time will have their own forms for you to fill out.

Worthwhile purchase
Attorney fees are high. If you're a DIY-type, the book can answer most of your questions as you consider making a will.

This book is a good, solid reference for estates in Virginia
This book is a good, solid reference for estates in Virginia. I've already been asked by some who wanted to see it because they saw it on my bookshelf.
