I'm from the Sun: The Gustafer Yellowgold Story

Such a unique and fun story! Should definitely be lengthened and made into a movie

It's cute, but "The workbook lied open on the table..." Seriously? Yanked me right out of the story.Edited:Aaaaannnnnddd... more.The Hot Malt Eagle lied upside down. (LIED again. Really?)A very dizzy Gustafer lied just one body length between the bike and the finish line. (Third time's the charm?)His parents entered the room where their sun, Gustafer, lied in the bed. (ARRRGGH.)Okay. How did the author, the editors, and the narrator--none of them--notice this? Call me a curmudgeon, but this is basically reinforcing / teaching bad grammar in a kid's story. That rubs me the wrong way. So yeah, it's cute, but I really wish someone had brushed up on lie vs. lay before they recorded this. Once was annoying. Four times tells me they just didn't care.

Just as the headline says: Exquisitely narrated and sung ~ a true joy of a listen, for children and adults! Thank you, Audible Original, for Gustafer Yellowgold! Morgan Taylor's sunny, golden cutie has brought joy to children for some time now, and the accompanying music is nonpareil. There is a unique essence to the storytelling that adults find astute and enlightening, too. Great characters, great music, great stories ~ not to be missed!

Our family has been vaguely obsessed with Gustafer over the years -- the parents as much as the kids. Our older child is now 12 and she still sings along in the car when her 5 year old sister requests to listen. So we were thrilled when we saw this -- a chance to learn the full story. Inventive, charming, perfectly quirky. We're all listening. Can't wait for the next installment.

My 6 year old daughter loves all of Gustafer's albums so getting a full back story in I'm From the Sun was a sure winner. We love Gustafer because it's fun, is goofy in all the right ways and has excellent music that's fun for parents too. The story and music has an all around feel-good positive message. Highly recommend you enter the world of Gustafer!

Great story, flow, and music to match the narrative. This was a refreshing listening experience for my son and me.

I truly enjoyed this audible version. The story line and songs made me fill like a young boy again. This expanded my imagination when listening to it. Please do more.
