Columbia Women's Discontinued Newton Ridge Plus Hiking Boot

These boots are right out of the box comfortable. I ordered them a half size bigger and wide. I think I have been wearing the wrong size shoe for quite awhile, because until now I have not owned a comfortable pair of shoes for years. I put these on and went about my chores and I actually felt like I had support from my shoes while walking on uneven soft sandy soil, over rocks and paths. I think in the last few years I have purchased 30 pairs of boots, shoes, etc, that never felt like these., so I immediately ordered another pair of these because I want a summer and winter pais. They are light weight, sturdy, supportive and have good cushioning and I don't feel the ground through the sole. I recommend these highly if you are having trouble finding a good hiking, outdoor, chore ready boot that isn't clumsy and clunky but supports your foot and really looks nice.

I was a bit hesitant of these boots at first but after reading a lot of reviews I ordered them and I’m so glad I did. I wanted to wait to review this but as I’ve had them now for 4 months and just got back from a 5 day trip in Colorado doing 3 different national parks I can definitely say these are amazing. First of all, the color and style of these are so cute! I didn’t want ugly hiking boots. Functionally, the traction and support is great! I was worried about sizing because I like to be able to wear thick socks to keep my feet warm when it’s cold, but honestly the boots keep your feet super warm even without super thick socks. And I can confirm they are waterproof. Stepped in many puddles and streams and my feet stayed dry. That being said, the waterproofing does keep your feet sweat kind of trapped in there so these aren’t great boots for breathability and hotter weather. They have good ankle support though and worked great for hiking many different types of terrain.

I have had a pair of these boots for the last year and a half, wearing them almost daily for a one and half hour morning hike that takes me up 300' in elevation and on asphalt, gravel, and forest path. The boots are waterproof--no moisture gets in--and I'm in the Pacific Northwest in a heavily forested area that sees a lot of rain. Though my initial boots are still okay, when I saw these on sale I snagged them.

Esta es la mejor compra que pude hacer para mi viaje a Peru, las utilicé para subir a laguna humantay y montaña de colores y fueron perfectas, no pesan nada, son cómodas, resisten agua, se ensuciaron bastante en el camino pero cuando volví a casa las lavé y quedaron como nuevas. Compré 1 talla más grande para tener espacio para las medias gruesas y las medidas fueron perfectas.

Perfect fit and so comfortable!

I’ve had these for a few months now and they have hiked several miles reliably. True to size and very comfy. They’ve kept my feet dry and clean in some mucky places.
