Paint by Numbers for Kids and Adults Beginner, DIY Gift Canvas Painting Kits for Boys and Girls, 16x20 Inch Colorful Giraffe [Without Frame]

I am only about 1/4 of the way through painting the Giraffe, but already I am in love. We bought this one along with the Lion and Elephant, all frameless, to go in our sons room. I am so excited to see how they look on the wall!TIP: The canvas comes folded and in a package with the paints and brushes. As soon as ours came in the mail, we took the canvases’ out of the packages, unfolded them, smoothed them flat slightly by hand, then rolled them together into a tube, and finally secured the tube with a rubber band. When we were finally at a place where we could start on them, just being in the tube together for a couple of weeks helped get most of the creases out immensely. For good measure though, we ironed them. We put the canvases pattern side down between two towels, sprayed the back of the canvas lightly with water, and started on the lowest setting on our iron. We ended up having to turn it up to around medium heat to see any real change, but that was enough to flatten out the canvases nicely. Then, we bought some 20x20 squares of cheap (like $2 ea.) non-wood type wood boards (the same stuff as clipboards kind of) at Lowes, and that’s what we use to paint on. We just use binder clips to hold it in place. It works beautifully!

I bought this to help pass some time as I recovered from a major surgery. I got lost in doing it and had so much fun with it. It was easy. I picked a different background color rather than the boring white that was intended. I'm planning framing it and hanging it up. It would make a fun gift idea for people who enjoy this sort of hobby. I would love to do more of them.

Loved that it is on canvas, the paints were good quantity, and the three brushes were perfect. I did this with my 7 year old daughter, and my 5 year old son helped a little. We loved working on this, so therapeutic! Finished painting looks great even though it really is quite messy close up.

So when you think outside of the box EVERYONE WINS! I ordered these so we could all have our own paintings and enjoy time together as a family and its worked out really well. Who Knew!!! They come w/ a "legend" or a "paper copy" w/ the numbers incase you color over a number and need to figure out your mistake. WELL GUESS WHAT I DID! I took that opportunity to create myself a side project and I opted to use the "paper copy" to color w/ color pencils and boy oh boy have I enjoyed myself! My daughter is painting hers and I tracked my journey w/ the legend and using color pencils - at some point I'll laminate them and great a wall collage or something!

I thought this was on a canvas type background, but it is more of a sturdy paper. Wrinkles very easily and you can still see the crease marks. The paint brushes aren't the best either, there are a lot of tiny spots to paint and it is too difficult with the brushes provided to not make a mistake. Love the concept, but there are a few things to improve.

Love the picture and the colors are fantastic. Super impressed by all of that. Kind of disappointed because as I was coloring I got to paint #7 and realized the paints were already starting to dry out and get very pasty and sticky. I had only ordered it about a month or two before so they shouldn’t have dried out so quickly. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because my only option is to return the whole thing and I’m already so far along (see picture) so... I’m just using the pasty paints as well as I can and now feel rushed because I don’t want the rest to dry out before I get there. Which kind of stinks because I do this as a relaxing project and as a single mom, I don’t get much relaxation time. It’s a beautiful picture. I would even be willing to purchase a set of the paints but there isn’t even an option for that. I don’t know... just kind of disappointing. :’-(

wonderful. comes with plenty of paint and a set of brushes. some of the paints are a little more liquidy than others, to get a bright color might have to go over the area an additional time or put the paint down a little thicker. the resulting product is really cool and definitely something you can frame and hang on a wall.

I really enjoyed doing this project! I had plenty of paint for each number, I love how vibrant, colorful and big it is! I look forward to buying and painting more.My only complaint would be that it came tightly folded and it was difficult to get the creases out. I ironed it, steamed it and laid heavy books on it for 4-5 days and it still has some visible creasing. Overall I am VERY pleased with how it turned out and I can’t wait to hang it on my bedroom wall.
