The Perfect Solution for my Coffee Warmer
I needed cups for my coffee hotplate/warmer. My ceramic Oregon Ducks cup is too thick to conduct and maintain sufficient heat to keep my coffee hot at 140 degrees F. However, the Cosori aluminum cup does a great job. The cups are light weight, dishwasher safe, easy to pick up and hold--the handle never gets too hot--and in my view are very attractive. I needed a cup for a 14-oz brew size, but surprisingly the cup can easily hold 15 ounces. One quick caveat: The bottom is very hot, so, as many people tend to do, don't rest the cup bottom in the palm of your hand. And yes, I am speaking from experience.

Coffee, Tea & Cosorsi
We bought this for a couple that was celebrating their wedding anniversary. They loved it and use it daily for their coffee to get together in the mornings. I wish we had kept it and given them something else. Now we have to buy a set for ourselves. They do more than you're a simple coffee warmers as with these you set your own temperature to your own liking and it works very well. When drinking warm or hot liquids, I would suggest quickly licking the portion of a cup where you plan on planting your lips and blowing in that area where you just licked it quickly and blowing on it to cool that portion of the cup first! The stainless steel makes it easy to clean. The rubber grommet makes it very comfortable to hold even when the liquid within it is hot and the handle is also insulated. The set temperature is displayed to my liking (or yours) and remains at that setting even when the unit is unplugged until it's next use.

This cup (and its parent cup warmer) have no competition!...Not kidding!
These cups are simply the best...hands down. I will have "Fun, fun, fun, till my daddy takes my T-Bird away". I hope you're old enough to get that. This product delivers well beyond my expectations and is perfectly designed for stand alone use, but if you can afford it (at $50, it's pricey) you HAVE to get yourself the parent warmer. It acts not only as an outstanding warmer, but also heats up beverages after using it away from the warmer. You will wonder how you got along without it. I researched every and I mean every warmer on Amazon, bit my tongue, and took the financial plunge to buy the Cosori Warmer/Cup combo. Never looked back! Then came my 1st and only problem: I wanted a second sister cup for a guest, but they only come in twos'. And as a single person, I did not need nor could I afford the $25 for two being on a fixed income. Suddenly--Problem solved---Don't know if it was Cosori or Amazon and don't care, but suddenly the price for two cups dropped to $18, I rushed to buy them and as a Prime member, my cups were in my hand in a day and a half. And I was able to gift the second cup to a very grateful brother, who immediately ordered the parent warmer. I am quick to criticize when things don't go right or a product doesn't support its claims, so I want to be even quicker to say kudos, thank you, and congratulations when companies produce an outstanding product...so KUDOS, Cosori! and ditto to Amazon for making this product available.

Hot Lips
I bought the Cosori two pack and have been using them for a few months now with my three temperature coffee cup heating unit. Typically I use the cup heater on the lowest setting. Things I Like: Although I almost always use the handle, the few times I have picked the cup up by the middle, I appreciated the rubber sleeve providing thermal protection and great grip. The rubber has not deformed under constant heat exposure. I like the top to prevent steam escaping which helps to prevent the coffee from becoming bitter as the volume decreases. Things I Don't Like: The top has a hole in it for a spoon to stick out. I would never leave a spoon in the cup where it could become hot or stick me in the eye if take a drink while looking at the computer. Just don't think it's needed. Opinion item. The only real gripe is the lip of the cup gets very hot, even when the cup warmer is on the lowest setting. I have to remove the cup from the warmer for a bit so it will cool enough for me to take a drink without it being very uncomfortable. I don't believe anyone will suffer actual burns, but it is not a comfortable experience. I'm a grown man with weathered lips from years of outside activity, not just sensitive to the heat. Yes! The temperature of the cup warmer, even at the lowest setting has some to do with it. However, the design of the cup, does not allow for a temperature gradient that results in the rim being cooler. Overall: I do recommend, it's a great cup, just beware if you use a cup heater.

Part of a great mug+warmer combo
Cosori makes a really wonderful electrical mug warmer (B074NYJL9J). What sets it apart is the ability to set the temperature of the heating plate in one-degree intervals, from 25°-110°C (77°-230°F). This is useful if you want to keep your coffee or tea at a given temperature. And it also makes the mug warmer a great device for making small quantities of yogurt (like 4 to 16 ounces); search for "Gensler's easy way to make yogurt" for details. To best use Cosori's wonderful electrical mug warmer (and to keep your coffee or yogurt or whatever as close as possible to the temperature of the heating plate), you need to pair it with a container (mug, jar, pitcher, or bowl) that has a removable lid to conserve heat and a flat, high thermal-conductivity bottom that matches the heating plate's 4-inch diameter. Finding such containers used to be a hit-and-miss project. But now it isn't, since the new Cosori stainless-steel mugs were designed for their electrical mug warmers. I highly recommend this mug+warmer combo - whether you want to keep your coffee or soup nicely warm, or whether you want to make yogurt. So while the mugs are nice enough by themselves, they are great to use with a Cosori electrical mug warmer. See the photo of my first yogurt batches made using these mugs. My only suggestion is that Cosori add more colors and the option to buy single mugs.

Hot initially but not for long.
I ordered these mugs hoping to sip hot coffee for hours as I worked - without a warmer plate. Here is my experience. The lid on the mug is not for sipping - it's too big because it is for stirring with a spoon (so says a note that comes with the mug). Thus you have a find another lid. I tried my silicone coffee mug lid but it would not fit this mug because the handle of the mug is very near the lip of the mug - does not allow you to push the silicone lid down. You need lid for drinking, however, because the lip of the mug is very hot at least initially. In fact, you receive a cautionary note about this with the mug. Finally, the sleeve on the mug does not insulate effectively but it does keep your hand comfortable. If you touch the bottom of the mug at least initially, OUCH - it is very hot also.

Works Great With A Mug Warmer
I use these mugs at home and at work. Along with my mug warmers, they keep my coffee hot. There are 3 temperature setting in my mug warmer and usually the medium setting is hot enough for me. If the beverage in my mug is cold then I can use the highest setting to heat it up. The mugs have a stainless steel flat bottom and are not insulated. This is important for mug warmers. They also clean up easily and can be put in a dishwasher. I have used these mugs daily for 1 year and they still look almost brand new.

Great Mugs
These mugs are pretty much perfect. You will have a very hard time finding another mug with a flat bottom that's single-walled. These are requirements for a cup to be used with any warmer. The bottoms need to be perfectly flat for heat transfer, and double-wall insulations keep the heat out which is counterproductive. There is simply no better cup than these for a warmer. It's not even close. That said, these cups are 17oz, which is already on the larger side for coffee mugs, but just not big enough. Since they're being heated, you have no reason to get up and refill/reheat them. Meaning a larger capacity would be much more ideal for longer periods of sitting. But, there just aren't any light-weight flat-bottom single-walled mugs bigger than this. I challenge you to try and find one. I couldn't. The only option for larger mugs is glass or ceremic, which get quite heavy at larger size and are nowhere near as well designed as these. Basically, I wish there was a 20-22oz variant of this same cup.
