Marrutt 230gsm Archival Matt Single Sided Inkjet Photo Paper: A3-50 Sheets

This paper came as a bit of a surprise! Haven’t heard of the manufacturer, but this has won numerous awards for the quality so I thought, hey, I’ll give it a go and I’m so glad I did! I print artwork for a living and know a fair bit about paper stock, and the printing process generally. The thickness is reassuringly as advertised, oftentimes the gsm (grams per square metre) is something that is easily falsified because those not in the know wouldn’t really know or think to check it. I actually thought I’d picked up 2 sheets, it’s really THAT sturdy, with a lovely weight and a wonderfully smooth matt print surface. I’ve bought expensive papers before from more well known brands, and even these usually come in either some slightly reinforced paper envelope or, even worse, what you could only really call a cellophane sleeve. This usually means that even prior to opening, damaged corners affected the sheets, certainly when you’ve had it sitting around open for a while. I’m very pleased to report this comes in a very premium feeling sturdy laminated cardboard box, and all sheets were in great condition. It’s the kind of box that reminded me of old darkroom photo developing paper supplies; and it’s made my life easier to have it stored safely away in there and not sitting about essentially loose as had been the case from other better-known (and shoulda known better) manufacturers. Image quality on the paper is great out the box with your printer’s default colour management, however, and this is kinda unreal, FOR FREE you can print out test pages, post them to the company and they will check to see if the results are within tolerance at their colour lab and if not, send you out a corrected ICC profile specific to your exact printer’s quirks and foibles. Absolutely astounding. Marrutt all the way for my supplies from here on in, as they are incredible for the price; and from packaging to documentation, and from the customer support to the paper itself, it really is a premium product at a very reasonable price. I happily send art to folk on these papers, confident the quality will not disappoint!

Sceptical at first buying off brand (Canon printer) however the qaulity of the paper is great. I use for my photographic prints and digital artwork and the paper performs exceptionally well. Great colours and reproduction. You will need to get the ICC profile from Marrut for your printer. Once installed the prints matched perfectly to my screen image. Found that their resposne for the profiles is pretty poor when using email. I jumped on the website and used the chat function and they emailed the profile within 2mins. Will absolutely buy again along with some other media finishes.

I run a small print business and had been using a cheaper photo paper with endless problems. I am so glad I found this paper! It has made a huge difference to the quality of my products. Colours look vibrant and the finish is great - I have had a lot of positive comments from my customers.

Have been using Marrutt photo paper for years now because the quality and price is excellent for photo fine printing, but to get good prints you need a good quality printer. The 230gms A3 matte is great but could go thicker if framing a photograph at this size.

Printing on this paper just comes out in a grayish colour... printed same document and colour settings on normal paper and colour is fine Update: Seems to have been a firmware issue with the A3 setting, no longer have issue with Colour

Utilizzata con epson sc-p600 resa cromatica e profondità di colori eccellente, ad un prezzo onesto. La ricomprerò.

E' un'ottima carta opaca per stampare fotografiche, l'effetto finale è simile o sovrapponibile alle carte fine art più prestigiose, con la mia Canon Pro 100s. La carta è sottile (230 gsm), ma una vola incorniciato l'effetto è notevole. L'assistenza della Marrutt per avere i profili ICC è rapidissimo, cortese e disponibile.

Ottima carta per foto a colori o in Bianco e Nero. La definizione che si riesce ad ottenere è perfetta. Colori saturi e vividi meglio di altre carte, pur se brillanti.
