Mind expanding book!
First, I'll admit I am not a copywriter and have not read other books specifically about copywriting. I have, however, been studying marketing, particularly for online information products, and found this book absolutely wonderful! I read it through quickly once, and am now going through it again, studying it more carefully. I expect it will be a book I'll read and reread many times. Although, as other reviewers have said, this book is written in a way that it is simple to understand (a real plus!) it also contains a huge amount of content, and very specific advice for all aspects of the process, from product creation through a completed sale, (and even follow-up after a sale.) As the title of this reviews says, I found my mind being expanded in many ways as I read this book. Things which were previously invisible to me have become visible. I now pick out specific elements that are either present or missing in the marketing message of others. I also see, with great chagrin, how far off the mark some of my own marketing efforts have been, but gratefully, I now have a better idea what to do about it. One insight I gained from this book is that even my product needs to reinforce my marketing message. I create videos teaching plant-based nutrition and cooking, and I can see how I need to design my videos so that every time someone watches them, they feel like they made a great decision in purchasing them because I make it clear in every video how this information is providing the benefits they want. A cursory look at this book might mistakenly lead one to think that the simple and easy-to-understand explanations reflect a shallow exploration of the topic. I believe it is just the opposite. When looking at the deeper significance of each element of writing to sell (in a broad sense), one can gain a great deal of insight into what makes a person want to buy anything, as well as excellent, practical advice and resources for writing effective copy.

Good sales copy can transform your business
Although I was once responsible for marketing in a publicly listed technology company, I never really understood what copy writing was all about until I read Ray Edwards book. If anyone had asked me whether I wanted to get involved in sales I would recoil in horror, for sales was something that required a special personality able to withstand constant rejection and able to close a deal no matter what product was on the table.Ray shows that we are all sales people, and that copy writing is an essential skill in the information age to promote and sell your product or service in the midst of fierce competition. Ray illustrates that there is a straightforward approach to writing good sales copy that will work and give your product the best chance of success in the market. After reading this book you will be more than empowered to write your own good copy that sells well. One word of caution, the hard selling off-putting style associated with typical sales letters might seem "over the top" in some cultures and I respect that Ray is writing for the specific audience where he has the most experience. Yet the underlying psychology and principles of buying a product or service are very human and universally valid; and can therefore work in almost any situation. You might need to interpret and distill the principles and adapt the copywriting formula proposed by Ray for your own specific audience and cultural norms and expectations.

Demystified Copywriting
Having spent many years in the college classroom developing and delivering business courses, I realized that I was not good at writing copy. I am not nearly concise enough, nor do I completely understand how this translates on the Internet. I attended a conference in Austin TX this year and one of the amazing speakers was Ray Edwards. Ray graciously offered the attendees a course offering that was focused on copywriting. I signed up for it and also found this book.I am still taking the course as well as reading this book, and am know that I am in the hands of a master copywriter. Ray has the magic touch when it comes to copywriting and uses language in a way that I have never encountered before. I am struggling with his language and terminology. One of the things that I strongly appreciate is the way Ray breaks writing down into the basic elements so that you are using a basic construction method to build your copy. The second major bonus of Writing Riches is that each chapter ends with a review. For me this reinforced whether I had mastered the content or not. The reviews will also be a fabulous resource for me in the future when I am building my sites. This is a book that will remain in my reference section as a book that I need fast access to when needed.GREAT book.

Amazing and Actionable!
Excellent book packed full of great examples, concepts and advice and how to master copywriters. Really easy to read and instantly applicable to your emails, Web pages and other copy. One of the best business books I've read along with Jeff Walkers ' Launch' and Michael Hyatts 'Platform'.

Content is King !!!
Sehr informatives Buch.Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.Schade ist allerdings das es dieses nicht auf deutsch gibt.Zum Teilwerden amerikanische Redewendungen und Wörter verwendet die den freien Lesefluss einwenig behindern können.
