Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor 20V MAX, Car Air Pump with Automatic Shut Off, LED Light, Tool Only (DCC020IB)

I have owned a Dewalt 20V Max Tire Inflator for seven years. It is kept in the trunk of my car and goes with me every where. I have had to use it on 2 two thousand mile road trips over the years. First time was when driving home from Texas and lost tire pressure in one tire driving through Mississippi. The second time back in December of 2022, driving to Texas and had a tire flat due to the valve stem falling inside of the wheel which resulted in a damaged tire. The spare tire needed more PSI to be worthy of getting me to my destination which was the last 30 minutes of my road trip. I have had to use the inflator back in early 2023 a few times with faulty valve stems that where installed on my after market wheels at Discount Tire. After 3 out of 4 tires got damaged from poor valve stems, I finally took the car to another shop that installed factory valve stems and TPMS sensors on my after market wheels. Since then, no problems and no more trips to Discount Tire to get a new tire and valve stem replaced under warranty. Tire inflator is easy to use. Paired with a 4 AH battery, it can inflate a single car tire a few times or keep all four tires topped off multiple times before the battery needs to be recharged. If the battery dies during the inflation process, the 12V DC cord can be used to finish the job. The turn dial is nice to quickly set the desired PSI needed to inflate a single tire or multiple. The auto shutoff feature has never failed on my unit. Its LED light has been handy when needing to inflate a tire at dusk. I have never used the high-volume inflation and deflation mode on this unit. If you do not like threaded chucks, LUMETICO makes a good tire inflator hose adapter that threads easily into the tire inflator hose chuck. This makes inflating tires quicker and easier. I have purchased a second Dewalt Tire Inflator on here for my truck. Hope the second unit gives me trouble free usage for multiple years like my first one.

I picked up the DEWALT Portable Tire Inflator, and it’s one of those tools you don’t realize you need until you have it. It’s compact, easy to use, and works quickly — I’ve used it for car tires, bike tires, and sports balls without any issues. The digital gauge is accurate, and I love that you can set the PSI and let it shut off automatically. It’s sturdy, well-built, and perfect to keep in the car for peace of mind. A little loud (as expected), but not a dealbreaker. Bottom line: dependable, efficient, and absolutely worth it for everyday use and emergencies.

This has been a great purchase. No more driving around trying to find a station with an air hose (that actually works). The ability to set the tire pressure and walk away is awesome. It is a little loud, but acceptable and understandable for the work it's doing. Took a few minutes to get my tires all to the exact PSI needed without leaving my house or the the need for a big compressor. Really recommend this tool especially if you're already into the DeWalt ecosystem and have batteries.

Ordered this so I could use it for car, rv and floaties for the pool. Wasn't sure how quick it would inflate, but seems to work well. Features I appreciate are that I don't have to take tire pressure prior to inflating, once the hose is screwed onto the stem, it will show you what the current pressure is, then you set the psi you want, and it inflates on it's own until it reaches the preset psi, then it automatically shuts off. I had a tire on the RV that was pretty low, it was nice to just set the psi and leave it until it was done inflating. Also has a handy light on it, which would be helpful if you're in the dark trying to inflate a tire, and has all attachments in one handy area.

I've gotten some of those portable cordless tire pumps, but they either run out of battery too soon or take too long to inflate my car tires. A lot of them are off brands that while they have a detachable battery it's hard to find or not worth getting an off-brand spare. While as a Vine reviewer I have tested a few of those, and they are OK. I wanted something more robust with easy to replace readily available batteries. I knew Dewalt was a popular brand that makes many cordless tools that I use. I noticed this didn't come with a battery, but I have plenty that fit the bill, so I didn't have to worry about having ready power. Additionally, it's very powerful so standing outside on cold days inflating the tires is going to cost me less effort. This is a very simple device to use, not a bunch of selects like some chargers have with various pressure metrics. This uses PSI, plus there is no selection for a lot of different vehicles or tire applications, just a choice between inflation a blower. The two sides of the device have wrap arounds for their use. On the left facing front is a rubber high pressure cord with a fitting for tires. On the right side in a larger diameter flex hose for just blowing air. The display allows you to select tire or air which has a simple for a gust of wind. When blowing up a tire, a simple dial allows you to set the frequency, and the pump stops when it's reached. Inside one of the side panels is a cigar lighter cord and plug in to use for connection to your car battery as a backup via the lighter port. So, you can use if the plug in battery is dead, or you don't have one yet as it is not included. Dewalt 20V batteries are available in may sizes, and I like that I can put a bigger long lasting one to refill my tires without recharging in-between. Unit is not as light as the smaller ones but much more powerful and has a convenient carry handle. I when connected to a tire it will inflate it faster than most of the portables, and you can just sit it down as the connection hose is long enough to reach. Recommended.

Works great, but it does not come with an AC 110v adapter like I thought it would. Must be a separate purchase.

So Handy to Have Great little inflator! Filled my tire quickly and shut off automatically at the set PSI. Compact, powerful, and easy to use. Really glad I bought this. Great for kids going to college, new drivers, etc! Awesome value

This is an excellent product and works very well. Chuck locks on to valve stem, multiple adapters for various applications, can preset inflation pressure and will run until preset pressure is obtained and then shut off. Retains last preset pressure setting. Has cigarette lighter socket plug and cable for use without battery. DOES NOT INCLUDE 20V BATTERY. (This is not a problem IF you already have DeWalt tools that use these batteries (as I do)). Would be nice if it include a case (I bought a 3rd party case here on Amazon). I recommend without reservation.

Well made sturdy item but needs to have the engine running if using the 12v DC plug.

Tenía tiempo analizando la idea si valía la pena comprar un inflador de llantas "sobrevalorado" por lo de "optimizar* tu dinero, y después de que me fallaran unos 3 infladores durante ese tiempo decidí buscar uno sobrevalorado pero revisando toda la información posible, y entre ellos encontré este DeWalt, uno de los 5 más caros del mercado, me decidí por este DeWalt por qué tengo varias herramientas y equipos menores que no me han fallado, sumando los diseños, capacidades, materiales resistentes y la garantía DeWalt (con apoyo de Amazon), y poniendo en práctica el equipo DeWalt inflador mencionaré algunos de los pros y contras con los que me encontré: Pros: Marcadores digitales claros y exactos. Control manual -digital de intensidad. Luz led Capacidad de fuerza sobresaliente Materiales y diseño resistentes Práctico, algo ligero Tiempo de llenado de 3-5 minutos promedio. Contras La principal fue que el conector de corriente en algunos carros con motor apagado no genera el arranque óptimo del inflador, tienes que tener el auto con motor encendido, probé en dos carros , un sedan y una pickup, en los dos se detenía el motor del inflador con la señal de Lop (que significa corriente débil o muy alta, se recomienda arranque motor), así me funcionó perfecto. También me funcionó con la batería de 20v, y consumo no mucho, pero no poco, creo que la batería te alcanzaría para unas 3-5 infladas en llantas medio vacías. El motor requiere de una energía algo "potente". En llantas de pickup se esfuerza un poco más que los autos pero cumple óptimamente. En llenado de llantas pickup medio vacías se forza un poco y se calienta muy poco la manguera, apenas perceptible, pero a los 3-5 minutos se enfría. Probé poco el inflador de colchones, pero sin detalles. En conclusión, Me quedaré con este equipo, desde el punto de vista que por tener las cualidades de potencia, aseguramiento de resultado, marcadores digitales precisos, materiales resistentes, garantía fabricante, realmente lo requiero para situaciones extraordinarias que se ocupa resolver bien y pronto, Y por lo anterior el detalle de que la capacidad del compresor dependa del auto motor en marcha, no resta lo suficiente a la mayoría de las cosas positivas que mencioné. Espero que en los próximos años el equipo me respalde mis comentarios.
