it works it pretty fast ram speed 2666mhz and you silde it in and i work easy to install and it doesnt give me the death of blue screen it work well.

Purchased this Samsung M471A1K43CB1-CTD 8GB DDR4 2666MHz memory module back in 2020 (4 years ago and going strong), and it's been an excellent upgrade for my laptop. Bought this 12/19/2022 for my DS720+ and in May 2025, began to fail. Maybe I got a bad one, but for the price, buying one every 2 years is okay for me. FYI....recommend doing a memory test the moment your NAS begins to restart randomly or you cannot log into DSM even though SMB into it works. Those are the signs of a failing memory. Also, always have a backup of your data!!!!!!!! Lost all my data 4 times because of memory failing. Also, no notification from Synology that it's "unofficial". The internal RAM that comes with the DS720+ is actually Samsung, so it's best to stick with Samsung if you want an increase. With the RAM installed, the difference in performance is like night and day. Would never use a DS720+ without the extra 8gb this adds (Unless it fails and I'm waiting for Amazon to deliver the replacement lol) Let's hope this one lasts more than 2 years for me again!!

I bought this ram to upgrade the ram on Samsung Galaxy Ion 15.6 inch Laptop. There are few youtube videos that was educational on how to install ram on Samsung Galaxy Ion 15.6 inch laptop. I was skeptical if I am purchasing the correct ram module. The only information I knew in advance was that it has to be DDR4 2666MHz. I trust Samsung products for reliability, and I wanted the Samsung ram on Samsung laptop because that’s how I roll. Installation was easy as I followed youtube video instructions. I am very happy that once I installed the ram, the computer booted up without a glitch. There was about one minute of silence or black screen; then, it booted up. As soon as it’s booted up, I saw on the task manager that I have 15.8gb of ram, so I knew that installation was successful. My laptop now works flawlessly, and I am able to multi-task on my computer. I am basically using a laptop for work and school. I usually have multi google chrome screens, word docs, and adobe files opened at one time. It’s perfect.

Needed it for my mini PC which already had an 8GB stick installed and increased the total to 16GB. Using it for old games and is holding up well so far

Go with an 8GB stick of Samsung for compatibility and a lower cost. Get the M471A1K43CB1-CTD. Works great on my DS220+ and my DS720+. It tests out with Synology Assistant memory test, plus, there's no errors/nuisance warnings that you're not using a Synology branded stick of memory." Followed his recommendations and couldn't be happier! Half the price, no errors, and 10GB of reported ram in a DS220+
