Each day I wake up and I check to see if you have germinated and I am excited at the possibilities.When you grow strong into a purple Basil plant my wife and I will come outside and tear off your children and put them in our salad and eat the corpses over some mozzarella cheese with tomato slices. That is right mr Tomato plant I am going to eat your children too......Oh I cannot wait for your offspring to ripen so I can pluck them off the vine and slice into them like a ninja.We all have a destiny and you Mr Basil and Mr Tomato will meet your deaths in my belly.

First of all, Hirt's Garden is a great seller to buy these seeds from. I appreciate their careful packaging and included instructions.These purple basil seeds have germinated much faster than other basil I've planted, and even though the birds got to some of my seedlings, I still have a lot coming up. The seedlings look like green basil with a hint of purple on the edges. I'm excited to see how the plants will look in a month or two. Perfect addition to my fall herb garden.

The seeds arrived in a timely manner. Given the picture for this item, I was expecting it to come in one of those illustrated little envelopes as shown but it instead came in a small plastic ziploc bag. Nearly all of the seeds were intact, only a few crushed ones. Most of the seeds germinated in 3 days and the seedlings look good so far!

Still growing it but my sis is obsessed with the arugula basil flavor! Great on pizza and beautiful in the garden.

...grew it for contrast growing with dusty miller...good growth but can get tall...takes a trim well tho...

I was planning to grow garden herbs indoors in the middle of winter and as expected I had a difficult time finding seeds. I ordered these with the expectation that they would be last years stock but I was pleased to see that these were packed for the coming year. Germination rates were excellent!
