Will it stop the puppy falling in?** A: No. They only float in the surface to stop bird attacks on fish. Any pressure on them and they sink **Q: what are the frogs for** A: To be honest not sure however I used them to link the protectors to the edge of the pond because they bend into different shapes hooked the arms onto the protectors and then put its feet under the rocks to anchor them. I don't know if that's their purpose but that's what we did 😁 **Q: Do they deter ducks** A: I found they didnt as soon as the duck landed on them they sank as there is no structure underneath them **Q: Can the fish still feed when the food is sprinkled on top of the protectors ?** A: Yes but rudd cause it to twitch when feeding. I wanted something that blends in and nicer to look at and this hits the spot.Points to consider: They float nicely, but I am aware of other reviews that says they become less buoyant over time as the algae grows on them. I might need to tie the edges in a way that doesn’t spoil the view.My fishes like to poke their heads out of the water every once in awhile and as these lie on the surface of the pond I’m not sure how these will affect them. I am leaving the space in the deepest part of the pond clear.I also noticed that the pond sticks feed gets caught within the hexagon web. I didn't want them floating on top anyhow. Yes I recommend, and the seller.
