Another very satisfying story in the Farraday series!
I love this Chris Keniston series, and this third book really satisfies. I've liked Connor in the previous books, and this one is his story. He has a dream that he's had since he was young to take over the farm next door to raise and train horses, and it's almost within his reach when he finds out that old Ralph Brennan actually does have some family - a granddaughter Catherine who has lost her husband and only recently got in touch with her grandfather again after years of not speaking. Connor thinks it probably won't be an issue, as she's a city girl and will want to get rid of the Texas property and go back home, but then... things are never exactly what they seem! Catherine's daughter, who hasn't spoken since her dad died, falls in love with the horses (and with Connor too!), and they love her back! This is a great story and I loved the continuing saga of the Farradays, especially Aunt Eileen. There were times when I really didn't actually like Catherine and wondered why Connor did, but of course as the story developed, I at least came to understand why she was so up tight... As always, the characters are deep and Chris drew me in with her writing - with some warm humor and hot attraction to make it a really great read. Can't wait for the next one on DJ!!

a big sexy cowboy pulls off a miracle
This is a series about a family of siblings. It is a stand alone read with a happy ever after. Each story is about a certain child but the others are mentioned. It is a wholesome read so any age would be fine. This story is about Conner, the third child. He has been a Marine and has been working on oil rigs to save money to build his own ranch breeding horses. His family owns a large spread and their neighbor, an elderly gentleman, has agreed to have his granddaughter sell him the land after he passes. As he his preparing to go to Chicago and see his granddaughter he quietly passes in his sleep. The granddaughter shows up at the ranch with her 5 year old daughter. She is so confused about everything. She had no idea that she had grandparents until just a few months ago. Then for him to pass before she even got to see him has her quiet upset. Her daughter is a quiet, beautiful little girl. However, she has a small problem. She was in the car when her dad was killed in a wreck. That was two years ago and she has not spoken a word since that time. She doesn't acknowledge anyone and has no facial reactions.Conner wants the heroine to know that he wants to buy the ranch but he is hesitant to tell her due to the circumstances. There is a bit of an unexplained event that takes place with a dog. For some reason the child takes to Conner and she starts to come to life around him. Still not speaking but obviously is quite taken with the handsome cowboy. This is a very moving story and a good romance. I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it. So, we have seen the stories of Adam, Brooke, Conner, and do you see where this is going? The next brother DJ is up for his story. They are all very good reads.I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

I'm a sucker when it comes to men who love children and pets
OMG...This book is a tear jerker. The way Connor went about trying to help Stacey overcome a tramatic event she'd suffered from 2 yrs ago, just melted my heart on the spot. What a guy! Then again, I'm a sucker when it comes to men who love children and pets. The chemistry between Catherine and Connor was off the charts! And who doesn't love that stupid mutt? lol. I have a feeling we're going to see him again real soon. The older card playing ladies are a real hoot, and their conversations are hilarious.I've said it once, but I'll say it again, because it's so true.....A good way to measure whether or not someone is a great author, is when author has the ability to bring her characters, and that of it's townspeople.... to life for her readers. They make you feel every single emotion their characters are experiencing in their stories. And this author has done that over and over again, in each of her books that I've read so far. When I read her books, I actually feel like I've become part of the family; I hurt for them, I find myself rejoicing with their trumphs, and I laugh with them all, too.I can't wait to read the next installment in the series.

have been great stories and this one is another hit
Conner Farraday, the third son of Sean Farraday has a plan, buy the ranch next door and build a horse farm. The only thing stopping him is Catherine, granddaughter of the owner. They say oil and water don't mix, Conner and Catherine might just end up proving that statement true.Conner, the third book in Chris's new Farraday series is another winner. The two other Farraday books, Adam and Brooks, have been great stories and this one is another hit. The great thing about Chris's series is you can start with any of them. They don't have to be read in order. If you are partial to horses, pick up this one. You too will fall in love with Conner, he handles his horses with love and care and soon discovers how working with horses can help a little girl overcome a traumatic event in her life. Unfortunately horses will not win her mother's heart or get Conner the land he has been saving to buy.Pick up Conner and when you finish it pick up Adam and Brooks. Then get read because DJ's release (book four) is just around the corner!

Dreams can come true
Another Farraday to love. Connor has always had a dream and in order to get that dream he has worked hard as an oilman, he's gone without for the greater good. He returns home to the news that the man who held the key to his dream has died suddenly leaving everything up in the air. Catherine makes a visit to her Grand fathers ranch to find out about her past whilst burying the present. It just never seems to be the right time to bring up the sale of the ranch and Finn holds back knowing he could lose everything. Further complications arise with the developing awareness that Catherine's five year old daughter is suffering from PTSD. Enter our friendly mutt stage left and suddenly Connor sees a way in to the little girls heart and mind, she loves animals and she seems to love Connor . I found myself laughing and calling out to Catherine " To resist is futile" because this family and part of Texas are truly blessed with the luck of the Irish.# Unputdownable

another great story from the farraday series
It's really impossible to decide which of the Farraday books is the best. After reading Adam and Brooks I thought it couldn't get much better but was mistaken. The story of Connor and Catherine is just great. The author always comes up with new, gripping storylines that make it hard to put the book down before reading it thouroughly through. And I always like to get to see a glimpse of the characters from the previous books.
