They allow all shoes to slide on and off easily but still feel secure. My oldest is nine with a size 3 shoe and we use adult size for her. My youngest is 6 and wears size 13, we can just barely get away with the children’s size for her but she likes her shoes tight.This product is shipped quickly and looks as described but are clearly made in China and not as strong as other brands of tieless laces we have tried. We broke several just trying to install into my child’s shoes. We were able to get all the laces installed and they look nice, they have been in use for about a week now with no additional breaks.
