Why are these listed as off road use only? It can't be because of higher watts because they are the same wattage as my stock fog bulbs.

If you purchased this bulb, how long did it last / how long has it lasted?

I am going on 2 months now, no problems. I used these in a 9006 bulb and only had one burn out in a year. Great quality.

I ordered this item and the package looks the same, but the bulbs have yellow tips and on the back of the bulbs the brand is Heliolite. Normal????

NO, I think you got the wrong bulbs. If the glass capsule isn't completely yellow, you won't get yellow output. I just did a little research online and didn't find a Heliolite branded bulb that was yellow like the Optilux. http://www.carid.com/heliolite/

Do these make the fog lamps look yellow when off?

No. They make white fog lamps (say on a mustang in the grille) look yellow only when on. That way people don't keep flashing their high beams at you. And you have yellow fog lights.
