Complete, detailed instructions were provided, which is a exactly what every manufacturer should get right. The only vague point being how to route the wires. The photos on the instruction sheet were small and harder to see than optimal. The PDF instructions were better because they can be enlarged. It took a bit of time, but it worked. I got this to replace a Sargent & Greenleaf safe lock that is over 30 years old and starting to become challenging to open. It fir all the holes perfectly, and once I unlocked the mechanism, things went very well. Do pay attention to the instructions as there are torque values that should not be exceeded or the lock will not work. Always test the combination you set at least 3 times before closing the access panel. And test it at least twice after that. Then close the door and run the numbers.

POS. Cheap plastic junk. Wouldn’t work correctly and wouldn’t lock. The plastic is the worst part. Tried to change code to see if that would help it did not. Very disappointed

First of all, the lock is very well made and comes with great features. I would definitely recommend it. However, the instruction sheet left a lot for me to decipher during the installation. Of note, the instructions are just plain wrong on how to measure and cut the locking shaft and I had to cut it twice. The keypad cable doesn’t fit easily into the shaft either and certainly can’t be adjusted without removing it from the shaft and then pressing it back in. Access to the battery is not how it is depicted in the instructions either. I finally got it all sorted but it took me a lot longer than expected. Once installed, it looks nice and functions flawlessly.

This lock is quite simple to install, and all the factory drilled and tapped holes on my Liberty safe from John Deere worked perfectly. Figuring out how to get the old dial lock off the safe took longer than installing the new one. You will need a way to cut aluminium, a Dremel tool or hack saw, for the installation. I was in a hurry to see how it would end up, so I gritted my teeth and used my miter saw with a regular wood blade with good results. The only minor disappointment was that this lock does not come with a relocker plate, so you'll either need to buy that separately or disable it. The body of the lock is drilled and tapped to accept a relocker plate, and they can be found for less than $20, but it does seem like a $200 lock should include that $1 piece of metal in the package. Overall, I love the lock, and would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who's sick of spinning knobs.

The lock was very easy to install and all of the parts worked as indicated in the installation manual. The lock works great, even changing the factory default (preset code) was easy to change. I had wanted to change to traditional lock for a couple of years, if I had known it was this easy I would have done it earlier. The entire installation took less than 1 hour.
